Didn't he miss because he's going to be evaluated by doctors?

    Lets look at Tmac objectively:

    Cons:

    Proven 1st round exit player.
Proven problem player with Team management.
    Proven quitter on his teams.
    Lazy on defense.
Mentally weak when criticism is shot his way.
    A Media Crybaby.

    Pros:
An athletic giant in his hey-day.
    Excellent passing ability.
    Excellent dribbling.
    Maker of impossible shots.

    Now Ariza:

    Cons:

    Pathetic dribbler
Half a step slow on getting to his man.
    Poor free throw shooting.

    Pros:

Was critical to an NBA championship win for the Lakers.
Excellent length in covering opponents and making a steal.
    Can hit the outside shot.
Excellent athleticism slashing to the basket.
    Not a whiner.

    I'll take Ariza.

    Exactly.
The report I first read stated that after being informed he would not play this weekend, because of the playing time issue, he was allowed to return home for his child's birthday.

If that's true, then that's a VERY r****ded way to handle the situation with a player known for letting plenty of things slip to the media.

Probably talent wise yes. But in regards to helping a team win when it counts and going past the 1st round?

    Ariza> One Legged T Mac.

you're right on one thing, ariza has proven to help his team get past the first round when he's the 5th or 6th option. hopefully we can accumulate players where we can put him in that position to excel.

That's funny because I only started posting again to hit back at the clowns like you, who are haters. I was content just reading opinions and stories, untill you clowns started flooding the place.

Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum, and even Fisher were more valuable to the Lakers then Ariza. That's why they gave him away. Overrated defense, worst offense ever. A true system player who can't fit in a perfect player system of Adelmans.

    Vujacic = Ariza

I'm not too enamored of Ariza's green light to shoot either. Dude needs to know his role, and try not to do too much at once.

Lets not let any bias towards Mac cloud our judgment here. Rockets are not the deepest team to be sitting guys who can potentially help them win.

They signed Harris but he's yet to see any playing time and without Chase our bench is a bit thin. Ok DD let me make a bold prediction if we lose to the Cavs how many play Tracy threads do you think will be created?

Some Adelman quotes were added to the original Chron article by Feigen. Unless Adelman's trying to cover up for Morey, which I doubt, it sounds like the decision not to play McGrady was the coach's.

Here are the relevant passages. Sorry if it's a repost. Link to full article is at the end.

I am sure a lot, but the truth is Waterox that it doesn't matter, he is not the same player, others are better now, and his style of game doesn't fit.

I honestly hope he resurrects his career elsewhere, but his time in Houston is done, and a lot of it is his own fault.

No worries though, time marches on, new Rockets to cheer for.
