At least tmac will get 5 assists. Ariza is worse shooter than tmac on one leg, and Ariza D is not good.

I feel you. I'm not hardcore on either side. I lean more towards the anti-mcgrady stance, but if he came back playing well - I'd be glad to welcome him back with open arms.

Unfortunately, it just isn't as simple as ending it. The Rockets have to do what is best for the franchise, and unfortunately, McGrady doesn't seem to be professional enough to respect their wishes and go with their plan for now. I have a sneaking suspicion that if he just went with their plan and kept his mouth shut, things would be going fine and we'd all be surprised to see him traded before the deadline. As is, he's making the situation much more difficult. As it's considerably more difficult to trade a clearly disgruntled player in this situation. Many teams have got to be thinking the best move is to just wait for the buy out and pick him up off waivers if they want him. So now, we literally only have teams who want to clear cap space to consider as a trading partner. And even then, they have to feel like they have the upper hand with all of this mess in the media. They will play hardball because they know the Rockets have to be eager to resolve this situation and move on.

Meanwhile, it's frustrating as hell for us, because Morey and Adelman won't tell us what's going on. They aren't saying he's a distraction. They aren't saying he's a problem in the locker room. They aren't saying he can't play anymore. They aren't even saying he just isn't part of their future plans. It could be any or all of those things - but we'll never hear it publicly - because to admit any of those things publicly does two things:

    1. It makes them look unprofessional, thus making Houston a less desirable destination for players.
    2. It hurts McGrady's already low trade value.

What I wouldn't pay to get Morey alone and find out the scoop on this off record.

Look at the game right now on the court with Nets! as far as the end of 3rd quarter, Ariza really disappointed me

    Have to agree with jmwilliamson.

We are about to start the 4th and Ariza, while in a shooting slump, has eight boards and six assists with one turnover.

    He's also 24.

Please... We all knew this was an audition for other teams. TMac has to play his role in the drama and look hungry to entice other teams into thinking they are getting more than just a half season rental.

LOL. I don't think it is shooting slump. Ariza just can't create a shot.

    11-9-7 really sucks, huh...

Look, he is a terrible first option on offense, but that's not what he was brought in to be. Even on this team, he should be a 3rd or 4th option.

But unlike McGrady, he's buying in and doing what he's asked. Not pitching a fit and walking out on the team when the team doesn't cater to his wants.

He forgot it was his son's birthday until Adelman reminded him by telling him no extra minutes.

Trevor Ariza has 6 assists tonight and counting. Trevor is shooting a similar percentage to Tracy's shooting percentage last year and he is not far from Tracy two season's ago. How is he that much worse, especially when he is getting paid less? Ariza's D is better for the simple fact that he gives effort ... doesn't go pointing for someone else to pick up his man. Trevor is in the long term plans for the Rockets, McGrady isn't.

I wonder if the day will ever come where Kobe fans have to fall back on "but Luke Walton sucks!"?

    Prolly not.

I am glad Adelman is setting McGrady's priorities straight. Family comes first.

NBA cares and so does Adelman.

And yet we still have a better record than San Antonio and Utah while have the toughest schedule in the NBA.

There is no "T-mac" in "TEAM".
