both sides are done before this scenario. tracy played b/c it was for a showcase, regardless of what the rockets have said.

so yes, i don't expect him to play again after this scenario for the rockets. hopefully they trade him or sit him. playing him again would really be a dumb move as that would only stir more drama.

McGrady isn't entitled to more than that. I thought the Rockets would give him some more time to get his feet wet and ramp up his level of play. But if Adelman doesn't want to sacrifice current momentum to add a guy who may very well be traded anyway, I can't blame him.

There has to be a trade lined up. Otherwise, sitting McGrady in this situation is counterproductive.

I believe there was a plan for him to play limited minutes (7-8) for six games then reevaluate, and mcgrady was on board with it.

I think the person changing his mind is mcgrady himself.

I am not blaming him either. If they want to trade him than do that. I guess everybody want to end the drama now.

O'Neal for Tracy looks better every single minute.

I just hope he is already gone by tomorrow.

I'll be surprised if McGrady is a Rocket by New Year's day.

I just want the guy traded for the sole purpose of shutting up all the T-Mac fans. When you worship a single player over the team, you are not a true Rockets fan. I can't wait for T-Mac to leave and his entire posse finally ups and leaves.

exactly. the team is doing what's best for the team while tmac fans want whats best for him.

no one knows what goes on behind the scenes, but this situation has definitely polarized the fans.

they said they may revisit the situation, not that they'd be waiting for him.

I'm totally fine with this. I know Morey won't take back junk. I just want this BS drama to end.

DD, gsw, memphis, and sac aren't hurting. Memphis will again turn profit, sac-town has a lot of good young players and are cool, and gsw needs to fire nelson. Even the teams you say are struggling, other teams also have those guys on speed dial. Dallas have a partially guaranteed deal for dampier next yr and howard with 1 yr left with a owner who isn't worried about the lux tax. Portland also seems to be in position to make move with the injuries they have. Outlaw and blake equals 7.5m which means they can trade for players equaling 9.4 in salary. With all their young players, they can offer another team better packages than the rox can. Its going to be tough, but I guess we will see.

The decision not to play McGrady more than a handful of minutes in the first half is, I believe, an Adelman decision.

Yeah, I think the relationship between Adelman and McGrady is the one that's broken down, which preempts Morey to look even more actively to trade him.

first off sitting him out isnt gonna help things at all. Atleast keep him on the same routine. How do you take him out of the lineup after he asks for more minutes. That is just wrong i mean you have to know that as a player he WANTS to play, and now you are saying he cant when he has done everything that has been asked of him. Is it really that complicated that they have to sit him in order to figure things out?

yup... not much to really wait on. how dumb can wafer and his agent be. they bought out his contract without first seeing if he could even pass a physical. what does wafer have left now considering he has:

    - Scorned his previous team on what appears now to be a very fair asking price by Morey
    - Rejected by EVERY NBA team during the offseason
    - Went to Greece where even mediocre players become stars and was BENCHED
    - Bought out a nice contract to return to the NBA
    - Was rejected by Memphis
    - Came to Houston and failed a physical (like seriously?!?)

All he left is no job, no contract, and no team. Wonder if he will apply for unemployment?

It seemed not a decision simply made by coach or DM, recall what did Hakeem Olajuwon get when he was old.

it is. and as of yesterday, adelman said he would not change that routine.

    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6787265.html

then bam, morey came out today and said tracy will not be playing. it's morey's move and i'm sure a trade is lined up.

how would sitting him for 2 games be productive if they would really consider to bring him back after this episode?

Are you seriously asking this still? He is not playing because he has not show he deserves to play yet. Players (especially those coming off injuries) do not deserve playing time, they EARN it.

Whatever you say. I could care less about who will be on the court and how many minutes a player will get as long as the team is winning. We were just fine without McGrady and we were not significantly better with him. Adelman is putting the team's interest beyond any individual player as any coach in the right mind would do.

I'm not too worried about what's going on behind the scene, for the Morey/Adelman duo has proven to be a competent management after successfully building a team that took us out of the 1st round.

I will just sit back and see how this is going to play out.

One thing I'm sure is that we have a future with Morey/Adelman.

I'm trying not to be too attached to one single player. After all it comes down to team success in the end. I guess some people here may call this cold-blooded or whatever but this is how business runs, people go in and out. Life goes on with or without McGrady. Go Rockets.
