    DD,

Every one talks about Trading Tmac , but I think there is no realistic trade that rockets can make with Tmac's contact that will improve the team.

J Oneal is a wash trade which will mess up the chemistry of the team also.
Kevin Martin is not going to win us a championship . Injury prone and messes up out Cap space for a long time.

Anthony Randolph may be a good risk reward trade, but I don't see that happening.

Do you see any realistic trade that may improve the team?

he did come back too soon, and he should've taken time off to rehab... but he didnt need to throw away the entire season. that was his choice alone, against doctors opinions.

Hooray, he didn't hurt the team....what a GREAT thing to hang your hat on....

    ROFLMAO !!!!!

Come on...outside of the first game which was +12 because the Rockets went on a quick run of fast breaks, the guy was at best nuetral.

Why play someone if they are nuetral? The answer is to try to EXTEND the lead, win the games.

He may not be anywhere near close to 100%, but he is coming back from a major knee injury. It takes take to come back from that and I agree he should have to earn that time. But in earning time to come back, it takes small victories & small steps to be successful. I understand his frustration with limited minutes but at the same time, if that is what is best for him that is what is best for him. The problem, as I see it, is that the organization, it's medical staff, & the coaching staff should have had a plan of action in place that was agreed upon with Tracy and the doctors that performed his surgery. It would have made this conversation that we are having pointless, because the timeline and necessary successes for advancement would have been in place. And then if his progress would have been above what was planned and mapped out, then the timeline could have been revisited and decisions could have been made. The Rockets, AS THEY STATED, had no timeline for his return and the I WANT TO SEE HIM PLAY stance by Adelman, does not give a clear, concise plan of action, which is what should have been in place from the moment T-Mac started his rehab. It would have made for more drama free banter on this board about this subject.

See the problem with that thinking Ans, is that we are only looking at the basketball side of the equation.

Some teams are seriously hurting financially and may jettison players just to get their cap room in order.

Those are the kinds of teams I think Morey should focus on...

Sacremento, Memphis, New Orleans, Golden State...etc.....teams that are hurting financially and may be willing to give up good talent...to keep their franchises solvent.

This does not look good on management's side of things and the longer TMac's situation is not take care of the worse it will get for both sides. Either play TMac the amount of minutes he believes he deserves or trade him to take care of the problem. I don't know what will be done but it better get done soon.

You know what, I remember durvasa (one of the best posters here) saying one thing.

'What if the Rockets screw up McGrady by saying he can play when he really needed microfracture'

I mean, who knows? Nobody knows the truth besides Morey and McGrady. That's all.

I can agree that he screw them up last season, but the Rockets are doing exactly the same thing this season for sure.

    Short term thinking.

What difference does 2 months make in the long run?

They are dealing with it.......just fine.

or they can just SIT HIM, and say they are trying to TRADE HIM. that would put to rest any damn speculation.

But can you make any realistic trade? You can just trade 20 mil for 2 mil, you going to have to suck a bad contract or a wash out player, no good talent will come who is cheap.

So can you make a realistic trade that will improve this team, because I don't see any better that let his contract expire.

    That is stupid....

You don't do that, you project an entirely different image to the league.....

Never show your hole cards to the other guys at the table.

Let's just see what happens.......letting his contract expire only nets you $7 million in cap space, taking on one $12 million dollar player and one $10 million dollar poison contract makes you better than getting only $7 million in cap space.

How can you be sure? We are all speculating. All I know for a fact is that Adelman said he would take 6 games to evaluate T-Mac's situation and this IS his decision. What's wrong with that? I try not to read too much into this because I have full confidence in people who all they care about is the team ala Adelman and Morey making the right decision.

Exactly, maybe they want to look at what Harris and Taylor can do?

Healthy guys that play both ends are better than guys trying to play their way into shape.

We should listen to Jermaine Taylor and play him the amount of minutes he deserves and everyone else who voices their opinion also.

McGrady is done. I don't see Adelman budging on this, and if McGrady isn't "feeling" the limited role its not going to work out.

Right now, I think McGrady has played his last minutes a Rocket.

Interesting. I agree that it is better to keep the team salary high, though you have to be careful about those poison contracts - especially $10 million poison contracts. I think most people would rather have the cap space, though.

Adelman is changing his mind every single day... IMO they are just finding different reasons each day for him to play only 8 minutes.

He didn't really try to play his way through it. He went from alternating games on and off cortisone (of course he's going to feel more pain doing that) to playing every other game, to playing peekaboo with the roster list, to going against all but one doctors to get a possibly career ending surgery when Rockets were close to trading him.
