 Holy Crap! He is moving in 2 houses down from my best friends house!!

This is unbelievable. My friends and I were joking that TMac should buy that house, and he actually did.

I won't give any details, but the house is in SweetWater.

Asked what is different about Van Gundy's camp, McGrady said: "Oh man, the little things. Things I didn't even know about, things about playing defense on a guy."

now that's funny.... tells u how much d he played in orlando.

I agree about the awe over having McGrady. I can't wait for the season to start. I was psyched about reading McGrady comments in this post instead, it feels as if i stumbled onto an argument between my kids. But since this post is more about the argument than McGrady, I will toss my opinion in on the defensive side of Mobley. The only regretable loss from this trade was the loss of Mobley. While I enjoy Francis, I cannot stand to watch the poster-child of what is wrong with American basketball today and why we can't win the Olympics in "our" sport. Kids today want to be Steve so they grow up like Steve practicing dunking and dribbling but can't shoot, can't make free throws consistently, and have no idea how to shoot a midrange shot when the defense steps up in their grill and cuts off the drive ala Calvin Murphy. When you don't know what to do, you make turnovers. When the defense doesn't go for all that dribble crap, you force up wild shots because you don't know what to do. That crap works great for a year or so and looks great on ESPN highlights (which is why the kids emulate him and others like him), but, this is the pro's and everybody will adjust and scout you and you have to grow or move on or the highlights get to be less and less and turnovers more and more. Jordan did! Thats where the turnaround jumper came from. the pull up from the key. That stuff was amazing the first time the foriegners saw it in the olympics, but, they adjusted and they aren't in awe anymore. They just look at these fools and go "back off, he can only hurt you if he drives". You never saw anyone back off of Mobley last year and dare him to shoot threes. Mobley worked himself into a shooter and I think his turnovers and wildness would have settled some if he wasn't recieving the ball at the end of the clock after somebody dribbled the clock away, couldn't figure out what to do, and dumped it to Cat with 7 seconds left. he would have made a helluva bench player on this team and I could see him some at the two with TMac at the 3.

Every player makes mistakes, but, Mobley was growing and Francis wasn't.

If you put Ron Artest on this team he would say the same thing. JVG has an unique defensive philosophy that is Zen-like, Force-like. He has the magic stick, defensively speaking.

Imagine what a defensive pest like Bowen will be like after camp JVG. Maybe we should approch JVG about a Tom Emansky type defensive drills video and Tmac can endorse it. In a couple years, we can market our back to back to back NBA titles as selling points for the video.

BTW Craigloria, breaking up your long paragraph into a bunch of smaller paragraphs will help people read your post. One large chunk of words, just isn't appealing to the eye.

It's in the article above. I still can't believe its happening. All my friends are excited since we are always at my friends house playing basketball.

We use to see Shane Reynold outside his house a lot, hopefully we will see TMac just as much. My friend has a full court basketball court in his backyard, maybe I can interest TMac into a game of 1 on 1. :D

That would be sooooo sweet! :D

Just like that commercial of the kid playing 1-on-1 against Yao in front of his house.
