[Houston Chronicle] Houston's Briles set to interview at Baylor

You were a Fiji and married a girl? Man, I guess things were different a decade ago! jk...just making fun of the stereotypes going on around here nowadays. I should try to nab a Baylor girl some time soon...maybe I'll just sit around the Bear Trail and stare in awe.

 

Well, the rumor is that Briles had met with Baylor officials the week before the Tulsa and the team knew about it, which is why they pretty much laid an egg that game.

The good thing is that he left early and, as Donny mentioned, it's a buyer's market for coaches. I have no doubt we'll end up with a good coach, whether it's a veteran like Bower or Coker looking for a fresh start or a hungry up-and-comer like Applewhite or Malzahn looking to make a name for himself.
