Like the article said...it was sad to see that the biggest ovation was when Yao ripped the ball away and threw his elbow to get the rebound....

I was at the game and i cheered loud as hell...but its a sad day when that was my highlight to the game...

    Please!

Booing isn't the issue. Booing in the first freakin quarter is the problem! That is idiotic! "THEY GAVE UP"?! In the first quarter!?

OH NO!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

If it's the fourth quarter and your team is hopelessly down with no chance of a comeback, then yeah, boo to your heart's content! However, there are almost no deficits which cannot be overcome in the 3 quarters after the first quarter. Booing your home team at that phase of the game only serves to deflate them. You might as well scream, "Go Detroit!" since that would have the same effect!

And, I don't actually live in Houston anymore, but they are my favorite team still. So, no, I haven't heard this cheering and going nuts of which you speak. Maybe on all those League Pass televised games, the cameras don't pick up this cacophony of sound because of the new sound proof glass wall they've installed between the audience and the commentators only 9-10 feet in front of them.

    Whatever. Pathetic!

The crowd was booing the 1st quarter because it looked like the start of another terrible game, which it was.

I may not agree with booing the hometeam, but there are times when it is necessary for the crowd to let their displeasure be heard, and it was definitely the case for that game.

The TC does go nuts when something good happens, unfortunately, it only happens a couple times a game.

Pathetic is right, it is pathetic to see this team score 73 points. It's pathetic to lose 5 straight at home. It's pathetic to have the 2-time scoring champ struggle to get double digits.

Players and coaches aren't babies. If they're playing like crap and don't seem like they are giving the right effort, then us as a crowd need to let them know that it is BS and we won't take it.

    Hey,

You pay the money to go, and you watch players giving a half A$$ed effort, you should boo.

How the heck is the owner going to see the displeasure of the fans if they don't react?

The fans pay for the salaries and that nice new building, if they are unhappy, the owner needs to figure out what he can do to make his customers happy.
