Nah, they're like politicians, saying what the audience wanted to hear. That quote from Duncan talking about how hard it is to be a rookie ... didn't Duncan win a championship his first season?!?
The title caught my attention. It sells papers. Jackson can clutch that memory tightly. The first mosquito that bit the giant. It'd be worse if no one was talking about it...I guess. Yeah, I might not like the Spurs but David is a really nice guy. Even Shaq has waffled on that story where David dissed him. He does so many things outside of basketball, though you could say his career was defined by not doing enough. And that contract dispute, it's a business. And hey, it might've screwed over the Spurs that year.
- Editors assign and approve stories and well as check content of the written stories for problems, not proofreading but clarity, etc. - Writers write them. - Copy editors edit the stories for clarity and grammar as well as write the headlines and cutlines below the photos. The writers have exactly ZERO control over headlines. It has always been that way. The reason for this is actually very logical. The paper is not laid out for the press until LATE at night because they have a lot of content to go over. They don't know how much space they will have for stories or headlines until late each night. By that time, the writers have LONG gone home. They can't lay out the paper until they have all the stories and ads and that doesn't happen until late into the evening.
