What place is that? I also vote for Alamo. Their prices on food is reasonable and great to go on a weekday with no crowed. I watched Matchstick Men last September with my friends and was great, it was just us and some other guy. Ordered chips and queso with a Bud. Best $10 i spent in a movie theater.
I'll pick Alamo too. It takes me 25 minutes at most to go out there. Of course, I only go to the late shows if I do. As far as "normal" theatre, I'll go with the Marquee because I despise having to pay for parking at a movie theatre. Makes the ticket nearly $10. Screw that.
Cinemark 20. It's near Red Bluff/Pasadena and Beltway 8. Don't expect big cushy seats, but it's CHEAP and easy to sneak into other shows during the day.
Hollywood 20? Wow, havent been there in awhile, maybe the last thing I saw there was either Con Air or Face/Off. Its still Stadium seating right?
I like the Alamo...unless it's a movie you want to watch with no wait staff interrupting you. Then I like the Edward's on Weslayan. It's 5 minutes from where I live.
Went to the Alamo Draft House last night. Pretty cool for a movie you aren't too serious about (Ten Yards in this case). 2 $5 tickets, $28 bar tab (tater skins, fried cheese, Bass Ales). We usually go to Tinseltown Westchase but the crowds are getting rowdier. And what's the deal with those trailer park people that bring their babies to the adult rated and horror films? Do they just not give a dam about exposing toddlers to language and violence? Batman and LOTR would have given me nightmares into high school.
If by stadium seating you mean small, no cupholders and single armrests between seats, then yes. But if you're a broke slacker like me, then going during the day when you can get two tickets for the price of one evening ticket at a fancier house is more than worth it.
