Looks like TP has the Coogs runnin' & gunnin'. Looking forward to this weekeng game against No.13 Arizona. Go Coogs Go!
They look good. Competitive. And learn from their mistakes. NCAA here we come. I like the fact Rockets were updating the score this year.
I would love to see UH basketball become a perennial top 20 team like the old days. It would be great for the city. Those PhiSlammaJamma days were some of the greatest days of my life as a sports fan.
I agree. We were all pumped last night when they were showing the scores of the game. Great win. Too bad there's so much going on Saturday or I'd have to make a trip over to Hofheinz to see them play Zona.
I'm excited about this year. Back in the Phi Slamma Jamma days, we had only lived in Houston for 5 years. Previously, I was from Louisville Ky. I would root for both teams, unless they played each other and then I would root for UL. I started following the Coogs, because I got to see more games during the season. By the time the playoffs arrived, I was a fan of the Coogs (I mean come on - They were an exciting team to watch), instead of my previous home teams. By the way, both UK and UL were in the playoffs as well. My Dad rooted for UL, because he went there. I've been waiting for the Coogs to contend for a long time. Go Coogs!!!
This is awesome...I can't wait for this weekend...I believe the game is at 6p.m. on ESPN2...I like our chances this weekend...Arizone is beatable... Coogs
That '83 semifinal between UH and UL was quite possibly the greatest basketball game I've ever seen. I've never seen so many NASTY dunks in 1 game.
I've been wondering if there shouldn't be an entire section of the BBS made for "College/Non-Pro Athletics" just by itself.. I think as far as UH, UT, Rice, A&M, TTU, TCU, et al go.. it's safe to post whatever about those schools in the hangout.
Now, THIS is an impressive win on the road. and tom penders isn't looking very good nowadays but he's still a good coach.
