Originally wasn't Verlander wanting to go to LA and LA basically said no thanks we're good? How gratifying it must be for him. As far complete playoff run I would have to say Bregman was the MVP, his defense was stellar and his offense was pretty damn good as well.

 

Dodgers overall were one of the best teams of the last decade. It took everything to beat them and it is what makes this so much better.

I talked to Jim Crane and got to hold the trophy yesterday. It was pretty cool and I don't even like baseball that much. Even the bottom (underside) of the trophy is sterling silver and engraved. Has its own Tiffany blue cloth covers. He was nice but a little too chill about it all. I am pretty sure I would be like, "yep, I did this!"

George Springer wins a Silver Slugger award

 

Honestly I'm surprised by Springer. Outfield awards are so highly contested. I mean he beat out Trout who was amazing post-injury.

 

Same reason that Lindor won over Correa. Carlos was better at OPS and SLG, but he missed a lot of games.

 

When you win titles the awards start to trickle in.
