My wife said the same thing happened to her last night.

Turns out it wasn't thunder, it was just one of my farts.

    Working from home today...

It woke me up around 2:45 and i couldn't go back to sleep until 4:45ish...It was sooooooo bad. Every minute, it would go "BOOOOM! BOOM BOOM!". Felt like it was WW2 outside...it was unbelievable. i think this was worse than Ike, can you believe it?

No water on my street, thank god.

Kam, what's your status? I don't know if Fairbanks got flooded. Yesterday, around 8pm, i noticed that the banks were pretty high on Fairbanks.

Oh well, hope it won't get this bad again today.

I-10 and B8 is flooded, crazy!! Clay road to my job is flooded but receding.

They are saying that a witness reported seeing a woman driving into I-10 and Beltway 8 intersection and never saw her coming out. The authorities are trying to confirm that there's nothing down there.

Looks like we’ll have a temporary hiatus from all this until this afternoon? Then it starts all over again…just in time for the commute home.

Taking the bus down Allen Parkway towards downtown at 4pm today should be interesting….

Crap. They just found a vehicle and they're showing it live right now, checking if there's anyone inside.

if you look at the hourly forecast on weather.com, it says 60% chance of rain starting again at 3 p.m.

I hope that is not the case. We got 9 inches of rain since midnight. I'm really surprised my street isn't flooded at all but don't how how it will hold up if we get another rain event like last night.

I just read this excerpt from the Chronicle’s storm coverage:

Um….yes, Houston does need to fix it’s drainage system, but YOU need to fix your brain for being stupid enough to drive into 4 feet of water twice in the same week. I mean, this chick drives into a flood and totals her car, then does the same thing with her rental car 5 days later?? No wonder the rental place is telling you they don’t have any cars.

No kidding! I'm wondering why people are so damn stubborn to drive through water.

You might be able to get some work in your neighbor's yards after this flooding is over, eh?
