I wish this was true. You can also pout and ask for trades, and get traded. Harden stayed 8 seasons in Houston. Lebron stayed in CLE for 5 years, and then 4 more years after. A superstar in the superteam era staying 8 years straight with one franchise is almost unheard of. The OP is right, people lack general appreciation of who Harden is and Houston doesn't deserve a superstar like him.
Why do people except you to be happy and easily accept when your franchise player is leaving? Fans can be mad tf.
Harden has always been an aloof narcissist... but he was a Rocket and our best chance of winning a title... so many turned a blind eye to any murmurs of divaness or whatever - and some straight out attacked anyone that had the audacity to question the greatness or altruism of the mighty James Harden... Welp... James dont wanna be a Rocket no more... so screw him... and I dont have to be 'thankful' that James Harden donned a Rockets uniform - he has been paid and paid quite handsomely... now he can move on... I was a Rocket fan before James Harden - and I will be a Rockets fan long after James Harden is gone... and folks wanted to compare this guy to Hakeem... smh...
What are you talking about? All some people have talked about the past few days is how happy they'll be once Harden is gone and how they eagerly anticipate his departure. We've had years of people wanting him traded out of here, calling him a fraud, and lauding the merits of "superior" stars who ended up faltering worse than he ever did.
I'm pretty sure it's the reverse... You think he should go to another team. I wanted him to stay, and fans like you want Harden to leave. Because contracts or whatever.
Pretty sure what matters is that Harden wants to go to another team. Both of y'all can feel how you want about it. Just like when Durant left okc or LeBron the Cavs. You can hate or love their decisions. Personally I'm ambivalent atm. Maybe it'll be more interesting or awfully dull, depending what happens.
