What is the word on Anderson's injury status?

Perhaps Nick 'the brick' Anderson? He's already done so much for us.

Supposed to be ready by training camp. However he's not cleared yet.

Its risky medically given the fact that he had major back surgery. It took Dwight a year and a half to fully recover, and still has lingering affects to this day.

If you trade for Anderson you should probably take into consideration that he's not going to be available right away, and might miss some time early on. Maybe that helps the Rockets get a bargain deal. Either way I'd be cautiously interested.

Hey, if anything he brings something the Rockets have not had yet with the Harden-Dwight core - a legitimately, truly elite 3 point shooter. Troy Daniels is promising but he's till a small fish. Anderson is legitimately one of the best sharp shooters in the league and he happens to be a big forward. He would be great for the Rockets just for his shooting. I would not mind giving up significant assets for him.

I agree. Obviously losing Bosh is devestating, but let's get over it and surround out two stars with quality role players. This team needs some shooters and I've been saying that for about a year now. It's easy to think of the Rockets as this lethal 3 point shooting because of the amount of 3's we take, but in reality this was a below average 3 point shooting team. Our best shooter was Parsons and he shot 37% from distance, which is good, but a lot the contenders have guys who shoot over 40% from 3.

That's where Ryan Anderson steps in. He will be this team true elite shooter.

he would end up on the bench. jones is already a better all around player on both ends.

anderson is one of the best shooters in the nba, but jones can hit the 3 as well.

Wish they would give up on Anderson already.

Anderson is awesome on offense.. but is terrible on defense. Isn't defense at the PF spot one of the big problems?

We just need someone for the opposing forwards to guard so they aren't packing the paint.

Can we get Anderson and Rondo, and match Parsons? Maybe with Anderson stretching the floor, Rondo, Harden, Bev, and Johnson can take turns penetrating and scoring/dishing. Call it the gang-bang offense. But our D... We will just have to out-score opponents.

Jones can barely hit wide ass open 3's when the D doesn't even account for him. Anderson knocks down contested three's when the D knows that's his game. I'm not saying Jones can't develop further because I'm actually a fan but right now Anderson is a better player imo.

Jones' man on man post defense also needs work, as witnessed in the playoffs. Ryan Anderson does provide rebounding which we absolutely lack outside of Dwight and even PatBev.

Anderson is a better defender than Jones.
