If you can't understand that the DOJ has been corrupted and can no longer be relied upon to enforce the rule of law, I don't know what to tell you. Pick up a ****ing history book.
Yea, ok bud. I can feel the democracy being destroyed around me, like, you know, when Frodo threw the ring into Mount Doom and Mordor was destroyed around him. Get a grip.
Ok, cite the exact law/statute Barr violated. From what I understand, he was held in contempt for not releasing an unredacted version of the Mueller report which if he DID would in turn break Federal Law. Damned if he did. Damned if he didn't.
There is nothing funny about the destruction of our democracy.
Didn't we elect and confirm a duly elected President? And then 2 years later held another election? Seems that democracy is alive and well to me.
I can't imagine how the right would respond if the reverse was occurring. They would be seething.
You only need look at the results of Fast and Furious IRS auditing conservatives Benghazi Clinton Server scandal Clinton/Lynch tarmac meeting Obama admin spying on journalists FBI damning IG results and firings/demotions FISA Warrants ...to confirm your statement. My question back to you is, were you "seething" about these earlier issues?
Deep State 12 Angry Democrats No Collusion No Obstruction of Justice Coup Good People on Both Sides Putin said he did not it I have no business with the Russians China pays for the tariffs Mexico pays for the wall etc.
Yes, sadly the DOJ was extremely corrupt under Obama not to mention the FBI, CIA, etc.... We are now finding out just how corrupt they were. Thankfully we now have an AG who respects the laws and is now working to get to the bottom of the corruption.
Curious, celebrating criminal abuse of presidential power and flaunting constitutional congressional oversight. I guess the pretense of "total exoneration" and "didn't do anything illegal" has gone by the wayside...
If we could only know when barr was telling the truth instead of acting as the president's personal attorney...
Oligarchy isn't that bad. You chicken littles are playing this like Global Warming. This was the coldest winter ever... Get a grip!
No Mueller, no investigation. bummer. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...673edf2d127_story.html?utm_term=.8fa1f628926c
So you are thrilled that the White House is blocking congressional oversight? Bizarre. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Nobody is blocking Mueller from testifying on the Republican side. Anyone who says otherwise is either speaking out of ignorance on this subject, or they are lying straight through their proverbial teeth. Operational theories behind why Mueller has already had one proposed testimony date cancelled (May 15 - Last Wednesday) and currently has no other testimony date schedule include: Mueller has nothing to tell the Democrats that they want to hear and does not want to attend just to affirm that and to get roasted by the Republicans Mueller is limited in what he can discuss by the law and DOJ regulations (this will still be the case after he officially leaves the DOJ) and is feeling like Nadler and the Democrats are trying to pressure him into an inappropriate or unethical situation, and therefore does not want to come. Nadler and the Democrats have come to the realization that Mueller is not going to fuel their preferred narrative on this subject and are now thinking it would be better not to hold this hearing. But make no mistake about it, the Republicans on the committee would very much like Mueller to testify, as they have lots of unanswered questions that they would like to pose to Mr. Mueller. And as you all know very well, Trump has delegated this matter to Barr, who has stated publicly on repeated occassions that he is fine with Mueller testifying and it is up to Mueller whether he does so or not. This week AG Barr restated this position yet again during his interview with Chris Wallace and went on to say he did not know why Mueller had not testifed yet. As far as the three choices above, nobody should be surprised if the answer is: 4. All of the above.
True if one does not count the POTUS and his AG. Nadler has publicly stated that he is negotiating terms in which Mueller will testify before Congress. Clearly Barr is only fine with Mueller testifying if all of his terms are meet.
Not even Chairman Nadler or Adam Schiff are claiming that either Trump or Barr are blocking Mueller's testimony. But again we see that facts and the truth are like kryptonite to certain groups of people.
Nadler has publicly stated that Barr will not let Mueller testify unconditionally. Barr’s public statements on this matter have mislead you.
