It's 30 miles from downtown Chicago...it's an old industrial town with no industry left...pretty much a south suburb of Chicago now. Their claim to fame is being the hometown of Michael Jackson.
Not a great place. They've had tough economic times for the last 15 or so years. Also, the 1996 film Original Gangsters was filmed there.
