First off, i think martin is a really good player that even with his faults is a pure effecient scorer. his impact on the game is more redd than mcgrady, but it would be a good deal if they could get him. I personally don't think they can when teams can offer alot more and add a player who can produce now in the meantime. Not only that, the kings like other teams as long as they stay under the lt they will be alright and put a good product on the floor. I mean, why wouldn't ellis for martin be a better deal than the one for tracy? Martin can fetch alot more than the dreamung of fans on this site. I think the fans on this site will realize soon enough that the large expiring contract of mcgrady isn't going to bring what they thought initially.

Tracy is going to get shafted big time if he's traded to the Kings. I'm not too sure the Kings would want to play him big minutes and hinder the development of their young, promising wings. I'm all for the trade and think Martin would fit well with this team but I'm not so sure the Kings want any part of McGrady especially since he's on the verge of becoming a cancer to the management since he wants big minutes.

The Kings would want either Scola or preferably Landry as part of the deal and although Scola expires after this season, our frontcourt would be even more depleted for the rest of this season and I'm not sure Morey would agree to a deal like that...unless he can flip Battier for a decent big.

Teams don't usually address trade rumors or speculation especially the Kings/Petrie.

This is an odd article. Why tell send out the message they're not not having a fire sale because of financial issues, or they'd move Martin for an All Star level big man, or that they want to dump Nocioni and Thomas's contracts?

It's an advert that reads, "Martin for trade, low ball offers need not apply".

If we do this trade I say we trade Thomas for Okafor.

A perimeter scorer so we can sit battier/ariza, a closer, and a great big man.

Good thing you are not the GM of the Rockets.

Yes, but not all teams are in a position where they won't mind absorving Nocioni's contract as well. While it might hurt for many here, Ariza and Battier are very tradeable players, and so is nocioni itself, Boston tried to get him 3 times already, so is something that Morey might pull off.
For example Tmac and Battier for Martin, Nocioni and K. Thomas (expiring).
By the way, i don't like Kevin Martin, i think we hace to stay away off pure scorers, the players that fit what we want for a SG are Ginobili, and Ray Allen.

Yeh and you would do it either way. For the Rockets you still get a bit of cap relief after the season with the expiring contract of Thomas and get a handy player, while his D is woeful if he is willing to play his offensive ball within a team system I think he is a great addition. For the Kings, well you basically have a team playing near .500 ball without Martin and if they keep that up, come the end of the season when you get rid of T-Macs contract you have a very talented young team with enough cap room to sign an all star or a couple of decent rotation players to make the team even better.

Martin is a scoring machine, a much needed quality for our 3rd quarter droughts. To get him for Tmac, we will be asked to take their garbage plus one of our promising young players. I like C-Bud, and I bet the Maloof brothers like him too. C-Bud will be the sacrificial lamb if this trade is to take place. If they ask for Landry, then I say no trade.

Kthomas's contract could be pretty valuable if it was rumored for Okafor earlier.

Out of all the guys being mentioned as trades for T-Mac, Martin is the best due to his age and overall scoring ability.

Didn't think this was worth a new thread but still interesting that the Rox are still looking at Martin...

Martin too injury prone for me(good thing I'm not the man in charge). If we want a SG, I guess we'll have to settle on Butler(or Salmons, take your pick?). Dalembert seems to be a deal breaker with any deal with Philly, and Martin is too injury prone imo.

I really hope we don't get Martin. TMAC the sequel. Too many injuries and way too injury prone. Don't know why so many people are so high on him.

Martin is a dynamic scorer but I have to agree the injury issue is a BIG one. I still say when then dust settles there will be a 3-way deal where Butler and someone else landing here. The Iggy deal would have to be a last second deal at the deadline with Philly becoming desperate but I can't see it, although with Dalembert playing so well maybe that 3 way deal could be Iggy coming here and Dalembert going to another contender.

Well, C.Butler isn't much better in terms of injury. He's missed 65 games in the last 4+ seasons.

Still, I think the Rockets need a scoring wing over a defensive-minded wing. That's why I'd prefer K.Martin or C.Butler over Iguodala.

    Iguodala + Battier + Ariza = REDUNDANT.

You don't consider Iguodala a scoring wing????????????????
