One of the things they said kept the Texans from drafting VY that I agree with is that old boy has too many connections in Houston. He would be easily distracted by friends and family over here to the point, where he probably would have been worst here unless the Texans really did keep him on the bench like Malcolm said. Although the sad thing is, if this season doesn't go as well as we are all expecting and Kubiak and Smith are out, there is a possibility the next regime might try to bring him in. But I pray that isn't the case because that will be a desperation move where you blow up the entire team and start over.
successful implementation of the wildcat requires a "QB" that can actually throw a pass accurately...so no.
You mean like Ronnie Brown or the Ginn kid? I am pretty sure VY can throw a better pass than either one of those guys. I dont think he should be a starter but he would be a good 3rd QB
Vince Young is a terrible QB. They should just make him into a TE. If he doesn't switch positions, he will be out of the NFL in a couple of years.
I don't remember them saying that at all. I think it had more to do with the Texans opinion that Young was nowhere NEAR being the best QB in the draft or worthy of such a high pick. Hard to argue with that now... Why would ANY regime blow up the entire team and start over...with Vince Young?? Hell, as bad as Casserly and Co. were, even they weren't stupid enough to draft him in the top 3. That glorious honor goes to the titans. *snicker*
Did you even watch the video? i dropped a couple bills from a stage. He didn't throw up a bunch of cash.
You know, I wonder if VY would be open to become a Kordell Stewart type of a player. A change of pace QB(perhaps short yardage situations) and play some other positions. And then if he can prove to be a good enough passer, then become a starter. It seems at this point Young really needs to just work on his game.
Does Rich Lord still say that VY is going to revolutionize the QB position in the NFL??? I remember, back then, Matt Jackson was always the one on 610 who didn't slobber over VY - and he was the one who turned out to be correct about VY transition into the NFL.
