I'd say about 3 years? We had a Coozan's right down the road from Bonfire, not sure if they operated at the same time, but it is gone now. We have a Bayou City Wings that opened a few months ago, also down the road from Bonfire. Definitely check it out though.
According to the website, they've been open since 2001. They weren't always called Bonfire though. I think their previous name was Cayenne's but I'm not sure.
I'm pretty sure it was Cayenne's. I remember trying it once in high school and it was gross and my boyfriend got sick. Stayed away for years, even after the switch to Bonfire. So glad I gave it another chance.
What do most of you prefer: Making the hot wings yourself, or ordering them at the restaurant/fast food place/wing place? Errr... I mean to also say I like them "ordered"... 'cuz making them at home is too much hassle...
I'll go head and bump this thread just to say I love Out back steakhouse hot wings. Also enjoy the chipotle dry seasoning at Buffalo wild wings, but tell them extra chipotle though.
My neighbor brought some home a few months ago and gave them to me. I was amazed at how good they were. Not sure what the sauce was but it was kind of a sweet chili style sauce or something. I need to go back and get them.
So Bonfire or Pluckers? I prefer the hottest wings (sometimes one lower on menu)... I actually enjoy hot, and am not like some guys who order and eat one... hehe, I mean I'm sure a lot of you guys can handle the heat since this is texas.
Saucepan, stick of butter, a bit of stock (and/or tequila/bourbon/or rum if that's the flavor you want) whatever hot and/or sweet stuff you want, bring to a slight boil, put in food processor, put on chicken.
That sounds divine! Is it your own recipe? Is there other ingredients to it? I'll have to make this stat.
