There are some great prices there. Are these sites trustworthy? Knowing you, I'm sure they are. I'm just hesitant to fork over my CC# to a site I've never heard of.
LOL! I don't walk around, I just shut the browser down. And now I'm thinking the 700 may be for me. Warning : people are saying that they're no longer offering the 8600 or the 700m with these discounts. That would kill the deal for me.
I heard good things about powernotebook.com and torque. Good laptops. So are: http://www.hypersonic-pc.com http://www.discountlaptops.com They sell the some of the same laptops (rebadged Sagers etc...) Oops! Stack24 is right, I misread the expiration date. look like I have until tomorrow morning to decide. That 600m is looking mighty nice, I wish I didn't have to pay tax .
This post has cause a lot of people that love electronics a big problem. When you really don't need someone but the price is too good to pass up.....i mean what do you do. Just buy it for the hell of it or let a deal like this slip away?
Indeed I am facing a similar quandry. Told my coworker about it, and he picked up a 8600 WS notebook for $786. Of course that's with our 10% employee discount, which makes it even more enticing.
Well, I could use the laptop since my current one was purchased around 1998 or 1999 and is pretty much a doorstop, but I... just... can't... pull... the... trigger. Not to mention Texans pay tax.
I'm considering buying the Sager 8790-C https://pctorque.com/8790.php from pctorque.com anyone have any feedback about the machine or the site? and much thanks to DoD for telling me about this site. This is the configuration I plan to buy (hopefully tonight, once I get over my jitters): 17" WSXGA+ LCD P4 3.0ghz 256MB ATI Radeon 9700 1GB RAM 60 GB HD 8x DVD / 24x10x24 CDRW NTSC TV Tuner + Remote control No O.S. Black business case Internal 802.11g TURBO (108Mbps) wireless chip Intenral 7-in-1 card reader Integrated digital video camera comes out to only $23XX with shipping (no tax in TX!!!!) this is badass... i'm just weary about buying a laptop from a place i've never heard and a brand of which i've never heard. someone please put my mind at ease!
Help! I can't get the system to accept the coupon. What did I do wrong? The msg I get is http://ecomm.dell.com/dellstore/basket.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&itemtype=CFG
drapg, They're legit. They have a good reputation, too. As for the machine - ARE YOU NUTS? RagingFire, Are you sure it's a $1500 laptop before any other discounts? Also, like I said earlier, I think deals on the 700m and 8600 died a couple of hours ago. Baqui seems to think so, too. Whew... dodged a bullet... didn't buy one.
I added enough stuff to make it over $1500. It might be the "10% off" that Dell included which throws it off for me. It probably does not allow 2 discounts. Don't know how to take one off though.
Raging- You have to pick a macne which is over $1500. The first time I did it, I had a maching for $1490 and a wireless mouse for $40. it made me add $10 to the machine. That was at least my experience with message.
when you put in the 750 discount code, it should replace the 10% off discount. thanks for the info DoD.
