    HEY!

I did every f***ing thing y'all asked and then y'all violate me like this? I realize every one of y'all didn't do it, but everybody has to pay. It's like everybody on the team having to run suicides. Y'all are talking about who the f*** I'm dating and how I'm living my f***ing life. My mother calling me up and talking about how y'all are putting my business in the street. I don't know, until people see the need to stay out of my f***ing business. I just play basketball for y'all. I don't live for y'all.

    :D :D

I'm rooting for the Kings...but it was nice to see Horry hit that shot!!!

Most impressive was his postgame interview..when asked about the pressure he said something like, "man, i have a sick daughter at home...that's pressure...this is just basketball." great perspective, bob!!! i was really impressed with that.

Here's Horry's story his whole career: don't show up for the regular season and the majority of the playoffs, but once in a bluemoon he'll be left open for a shot and hit it. Forget the 10-day contract: they invented the 10-minute one for this guy.

I was wondering why you were so offended by my comments *sigh* (Horry is not a Rocket anymore, he's a Laker - no need to defend him like he's your boyfriend).

    I am laughing. Let's see....

    1) The Kings had a 20 point lead after one quarter.

    2) The Kings had a 14 point lead after half-time.

Did the refs make them miss about 4 free throws in the fourth quarter??? The the refs make Mike Bibby miss three open jumpers in the fourth quarter? Did the refs make Vlade Divac's tip out go straight to Robert Horry (which was the right thing to do, by the way --- get it away from the basket and away from Shaq)?

The point is, the Kings lost the game, the Lakers took advantage of some lucky plays to win it. But, the Kings had their chance to win (up 20 points, 4th quarter free throws, etc...) and blew it. It shouldn't even have come down to that late three pointer by Samaki Walker. One or two less missed free-throws in the fourth quarter and it's either overtime or Kings win even IF Horry hits that shot.

FYI everyone. The NBA is considering (and will probably approve) the use of instant replay for all last second shots. I think you will see that added to the game next year.

Don't expect to see it for foul calls, but I think after the Reggie Miller debacle in round 1, where he shot the ball like two seconds after the clock expired and they gave it to him, fans (even the league officials) have had enough of this kind of thing.

Well, actually, unless your suggesting they've made new rules which give you 18 pts off of one shot, Horry was a major scorer in the WHOLE game. He was hitting 3's all fourth quarter as they kept leaving him open in the corners.

    May be not.. sTWO...
    once.. it may be fluke..
twice.. it may be 'got lucky' .

but he is doing it again and again.. thats definitely CLUTCH!!
Hitting big shots in big games have become so normal for this guy. I am sure more than 50% of us here were almost 100% sure that the ball was going in as soon as it left Horry's hands..

    Well, He is Clutch!!!

Horry kicked ass in the first game, had 20 reb in the second game, and hit the game winning 3 in the fourth game. I think that is more then a span of "10 minutes"!

And some of us can defend Horry if we want to. Maybe you should take your sensitve ass somewhere else! Horry is and always will be a Rocket in many of our hearts!

It's easy to touch the stars when you stand on the shoulders of giants.

    Horry's career playoffs stats - 9.5 ppg / 6.1 rebs / 37.3% 3pt%

When I was growing up there was a sawed-off runt kid in my neighborhood who was always running his mouth. He had two bigger, tougher older brothers. He thought he was pretty "special", too....a legend in his own mind.

Telling us Robert Horry is a special player is equivalent of you winning Lotto Texas and telling us what a skilled businessman you are. Right place, right time... at least 37.3% of the time. :p

But Horry doesn't talk ****, and this thread is about his clutchness, not his overall playoff stats. And don't you always have to be in the right place at the right time for anything??

GATER, you summed it up perfectly. Some of these people here are so deluded with Horry just because he USED to be a Rocket. The past is the past, why not focus on the reality that he is an LA Faker now?

That statline you pulled up is particularly interesting.

Anyone who denies that the last play of the game was luck is merely a Lakers bandwagon fan (there are lots of them these days).

You're joking, right? Everytime he hits a 3 he turns around and says something to the opposing bench. There's not a single player in the NBA who doesn't talk smack. The one exception that comes to mind is Tim Duncan though, an all around class act.

Fakers huh? How original. What exactly are they faking? Two championship trophies?

No one is claiming Robert Horry is the second coming of Pistol Pete, but he is one of the most clutch players to ever play the game.

The last play of the game was lucky in that Vlade knocked it straight to Horry. But guess what you bonghole? You still have to make the freakin shot!

Bandwagon pe hoygi teri ma 8hench0D!

No, they fake injuries. How many times has Bryant mysteriously come up with an "illness" or "injury" right before crucial games? It's always bs with him trying to act like the second coming of Michael Jordan.

Speak on it. Just because Magic Johnson said something doesn't mean it's true.

    Agreed

But guess what you bonghole? You still have to make the freakin shot! [/QUOTE]

Bonghole? Damn, you're hurting my feelings here. As Turkoglu said : "That was the luckiest thing I've seen in my whole life."

I'm not even going to try to decipher that one.

Ever heard the expression "actions speak louder than words"? I am totally turned off by his slouching, go through the motions, I can turn it on at anytime body language. And you want to say that Horry doesn't taunt other players? We must not be watching the same games.

This is a first class example of how Horry supporters use selective perception to justify Horry's place next to MJ, or Reggie, or Magic, or Bird or even Paul Pierce. Tell about Horry's clutch shots as a Sun. Remind me how he didn't play 1 minute in the 4th quarter of game 3.

Outside of Houston and LA, does anyone really know who this guy is? Do the fans in Toronto drool to have Horry at crunch time? JAG? Do mfclark and the other Magic posters here want Horry? Almu, RocketRich - tell us how much buzz Horry creates in NYC. NJRocket - what's the fan buzz about Horry there?

Isn't that my point? Ship him off to the Cavs and watch all of the clutch shots roll in. Walt Williams could shoot clutch shots on a team where he is the 3rd option behind Shaq and Kobe...hell, that's what Rice did before his ego and his wife's big mouth got him bannished from LA.

Do you honestly think Robert Horry is HOF material? I don't and if you post in here until next season tips off you won't convince me of it. Barkley and Malone = HOF'ers without rings, Horry = non-HOF'er with the most rings.

HAHA! HANNAH STORM JUST SAID HORRY WAS ONE OF THE MOST CLUTCH EVER!!! HANNAH STORM!!! YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT!!!:D But anyways, I was talking about Horry not talking ****, in the way of gloating. He didn't say how great he was. And if you talk body language, who doesn't taunt?? Steve, Cuttino, Moochie, everyone. Yes, even Duncan. Ever seen him dunk and yell??? Is that not taunting?? And yes, I'm pretty sure if you ask someone outside of LA and Houston, they'd know who Horry is. It'd go like this:

    Hey you know Robert Horry?

Yea, isn't he that guy that's always hitting clutch 3's??

Yep. Hannah Storm sums it up. :D

As Turkoglu said : "That was the luckiest thing I've seen in my whole life."

I guess he didn't see all of those WNBA commercials 2 or 3 years back?

Please, the Kings BLEW IT. Vlade can't get two hands on the damn ball. Thats why they lost. It might have been the "smart play", but still how many times have you seen a player on D bat it out and lose possession? The play is almost 50/50. Leaving Horry open until the final buzzer is a death wish by now. They know it. The whole NBA knows it. They know they blew their big shot just like the Nets did. Celts-Lakers finals.
