You think a hammer or bat can't be picked up and swung at a sleeping baby, teenager or adult to strike a deadly blow? The point is a psycho with no access to a gun will find anything to use. BECAUSE HE'S A ****ING PSYCHO. Now if you are talking about a mass killing and not just a personal one like in the story above. THEY WILL MAKE HOMEMADE BOMBS and kill even more people than a gun can. BECAUSE THEY ARE PSYCHOS. I hope you wake up to a psycho child of yours standing over you with a hammer or knife or a bat and i hope in that moment you pray your child had a gun to make it quick and painless. Everything starts with how your raise your children and finding mental illness before it's too late. Blame the guns? Blame the supposed "loved" ones in the psycho's life.

I agree.. guns vs knives is a weak example. How about alcohol? There's really no use for it other than entertainment, yet kills / ruins lives of more people daily then all massacres this year combined. Yet any kid can go into their parents liquor cabinet or even grab the parents car keys while they are asleep.. You can't regulate dumb.. and basically people that leave their firearms accessible to dumb kids, that's not a responsible gun owner. Just like there's non responsible drinkers that kill just as many people.. some times multiple people and multiple times. Parents are eventually going to have to start parenting and quit relying on society to fix the problem. I'm not even getting into non-responsible drivers (and there are a ton that don't know how to drive properly.. old and young) that kill on a daily basis. On and on.. there are too many dangerous things in society and we have to take responsibility ourselves because laws aren't followed by criminals or the ignorant. Regardless if it was an accident doesn't matter.. it's the same result.. someones dead because of another person. Not a tool. And I also agree with you there is a lot of stupidity in this country nowadays.
Not sure if being srs or just stupid....... Because it would be impossible to get up and take a bat/hammer from a kid that jus woke you the hell up with such a devastating swing..... vs you know... a gun that would cause more damage and even a possible sudden death with little to no chance of recovering and saving yourself.....
