Exactly, I don't blame the kids for acting like immature spoiled babies, they're young, and influenced byt the sleazy multimillion dollar industry that develops around them and encourages them to act like idiots - which is fueled by grown men who live vicariously...etc. You put enough attention and money in it, and the kids are going to see how much they can get out of it. For many of these guys, it's their 15 minutes - even for five star super prospects the road to riches & superstardom is no guarantee and this is as close as some will ever get.
Just put O.U. on a platter and everything will fall into place. I want the QB from the N.O area. I think he name is Ryan something or rather.
I was reading the other that Perrilloux is going to put on a similar spectacle when he announces his school tomorrow. I do not know much about this Bennett kid, but from what I have read, Perrilloux seems to be an @ss.
Dam ya'll are hard on a 18 year old. He showed a sense of humor in making his choice, poking some fun at the over-amped, vicarious testosterone filled dreamfest that is college recruiting. I thought his humor was very much along the Shaq-daddy mold so it will probably serve him well in promoting himself into being a multi-millionare. I'll even cut him some slack on the "The University" of Texas A&M because it has become ubiquitous within football culture that when you refer to your school you say "The University" as in The University Of Ohio State. They do it every week on the NFL. He made a choice to go where his brother is. His parents will have about an hour drive up to the games. Their young basketball team went on an unbeaten tear through their cupcakes for the first time in years fueling a little basketball euphoria. His choice makes sense. And like it or not, A&M is going to have one hell of a recruiting class.
that's classic!!! i married one and made her a presbyterian. of course, i was an episcopalian, so there's compromise all over!
Heck, three out of the five members of my family went to Baylor and the closest we come to Baptist is our collective lack of dancing skills.
Well whatever, I just made a quick grab at a random school, the point is it has become common to skew the school name. I think it started when Miami Hurricanes started just referring to their school as just "The Unversity" or "The U".
