yeah, how is it that everything seems to be falling apart coming off our best year in like 22 years. i mean, 11-1 with a huge rose bowl win you would think would help teh recruiting with 5 star guys, not get them all to pick other teams or, hell, even decommit from you. and i'd blame mack for missing the top prospect again, but like i said, what the hell else can we offer over a&m?
except almost no one ever seems to want to do that. the good schools get the best prospects and the teams that just had great years get the best of the best. at least that's the way it always seems to go. but apparently not in this case.
1. dumbass is ONE WORD. 2. "decided going to A&M?" Didn't you forget the "he is?" "decided he is going to A&M" And you call him a dumbass. Priceless.
Not a good sign...I won't be surprised if Perrilloux goes to LSU. I think it was a done deal when Barnes wouldn't stroke Bennett's ego.
The A&M gameday experience, in most people's opinions, is far and away better than the experience at UT. A&M football is absolutely the only thing in town, whereas in Austin there are more distractions. Plus Martellus would have been behind some pretty highly regarded post players at UT (Mike Williams and Aldridge). At A&M he's going to see a lot more basketball playing time.
I beg to differ. I think Kyle Field looks much better than DKR and I think that until the earlier games of last season season, Kyle Field has always been filled to capacity. On a side note, the stands of Kyle Field on the game after September 11th was undoubtedly the greatest thing I have ever seen in college football.
well i was speaking more from a football perspective but i guess playing more on a bad team than being behind those guys is better for some guys. but then again, aldridge wants to leave early (though i would think he'll need to be way better before he leaves). and yeah, the 9/11 red, white, and blue thing at a&m was awesome.
At lot of y'all Horns fans need to STFU. If y'all check my post history, I have always shown love and equal treatment for the Horns even as an Aggie. So he doesn't speak good English. So What? A lot of players at A&M and UT don't spreak good English. But calling him stupid and dumb for choosing to go to A&M? That's lacking class and in a way insulting. 50,000 people chose to go to this school. Are they all dumb? Man, my buddy and his A&M education won the 2003 college Jeopardy College Tournament. I have many friends from high school that chose here, UT, UH, and elsewhere. Different schools offer different things. I had UT, UH, OU, USC, Georgetown...but I came here. Closer, nice community atmosphere, good cost of living. Am I a dumbass for choosing to go to A&M? Seriously, y'all's sour grapes logic doesn't make sense. Otherwise, him, being the number #1 TE in the nation should obviously go to USC or OU right? Jeebus. Gig'em Aggies. It ain't the greatest thing in the world; just a freakin good prospect that could help in football. The over-joy is silly, but the insulting-sour-grapes is classless.
Actually, I'm not at all bitter about his decision to attend A&M. It was that ridiculous announcement that he made. What an embarassment. "I talked to Oprah and uhhhh....Regis and Kellly...and uhhh....Mickey Mouse." That gay coin flip followed by the stupid hat tricks. You didn't see Adrian Peterson acting like this last year did you? Or how about Mark Sanchez when he chose USC? The sad thing is that the media is feeding these kids' egos, and they turn the whole recruiting process into a circus.
