(Cont.) Hornets asking price for Kaman too high. "They were asking for draft picks, cap space and a young player," one executive says

To be clear, Jazz checked on Kaman some time ago but doesn't make sense now. Detroit likes him, needs center. Most teams have found (cont.

Hearing HOU is interested in Chris Kaman. Not surprised. Don't think there is a legit center in the league the Rockets aren't interested in

I wonder if the Rockets will trade the 2009ers for Kaman or perhaps even Scola or Martin to create extra cap room.

The latter case seem unlikely, but you never know how agressive the front office can get.

    Exactly.

Flynn, Twill, Thabeet and JHill.....they would get to look at 2 probable NBA players in TWill and JHill and see if Thabeet can bring anything with consistent minutes.

Don't forget the Rox can always Amnesty Scola or Martin next year if they really need to - to generate extra cap room.

Yep... and they can trade one and amnesty the other if they really want to dump EVERYBODY!

He can ask but I'd have to give him an ahhhh noooo...unless he wants to throw in their pick for us. I wouldn't trade Kaman for the pick straight up and I believe there is value (and the youth they are looking for) in those players. If they aren't going to use him his value is very low and the 14 million is just money down the drain even if it is expiring.

The question is would our 09er package beat everyone else's offer?

I'm guessing maybe if another team has a multi-year contract to dump, they'd look to NO to see if they'd take the contract for a pick or something like that. Who knows what the Hornets think? Maybe they don't mind eating a contract for a pick. Maybe they also don't want any money coming back, then in that case a package of expiring young players that they can try out for 1/2 season isn't so bad.

Ideally good for 25 minnutes. Kaman is a good player, but I am not giving them the Knicks pick for him, nor am I giving up Patterson or Morris.

We're idiots if we entertain any idea of doing any dealings with the Hornets after Stern screwed us over...

Just make sure none of the details of the trade get out until it's a done deal.

I feel bad for coach Monty and their GM. They have so much $hit going against them but they still manage to do a good job.

Telling Kaman to sit cuz they're trying to tank is a good move, NO will have Gordon and 2 lottery picks to build around next year.
