Horace Grant Thinks The Rockets Titles are Questionable

We've been talking about this for a decade and a half?

I think this conversation should be about Grant not having enough self-respect to claim his own victory, not about the Rockets at all.

But, since we're talking about Bulls v. Rockets: the value of a player is an all-inclusive calculation. A player's athleticism, and intelligence, and demeanor, and leadership qualities, and etc all play into his success on the court. Jordan, apparently, is the kind of guy to give up on basketball occassionally -- a weak link in the armor. To come up with a hypothetical of him not doing that is like a hypothetical in which Yao's feet weren't broken, Pippen didn't stab his teammate in the back, or Lucas didn't have a drug problem.

 

Or if Tracy McGrady had a heart or Ralph Sampson's knees had held up.
