What did I say? The teams record improved almost every year. From 2 wins in Capers last year, our win total has gone 6, 8, 8, 9, 6, 10, 12. Only one year did our win total regress. Do you not understand numbers? That's not up and down. That's as steady an incline as you're likely to get in the league. Up and down is 6, 7, 5, 10, 8, 4 9.
Yea I know. I know he was a pick machine. But In the Superbowl, he had no Turnovers. The thing about Alex SMith is that you know what you are getting. Not many turnovers and enough offense to help win games.
I see a mediocre head coach and a mediocre record until Foster turned them into Fool's Gold. Then the OL went to crap, Schaub went from a game manager to a pick six factory, and Arian started looking mortal. The end result is one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Thanks for the latest rep that ive gotten from"XXXXXXXXX"...At least let me know who it is...so i can directly respond to you... And to answer you...just like Mad Max stated...Hopkins comments would only happen when the locker-room is totally in shambles... When multiple players this season have publicly called out the coaching staff, how am I whining, by stating the obvious truth? A new regime changes things...Hopkins would know not to open his mouth. However, one thing is for certain; a new regime would not be as predictable as the one we see every Sunday... And finally, im no football genius but i do appreciate the love...some food for thought: when couch coaches like me can guess what play gets called on the offense, and which match up a OC is gonna exploit, there is a real problem with the real staff on Kirby. Maybe I should apply for a job...probably would do much worse...
For a recent expansion team never having had a winning record and coming off of a season where they were the worst team in the league, most probably would. It's a hell of a lot better than how the Browns did during the same time in their development. The Jags and Panthers had more favorable expansion rules when those franchises started and were able to build their teams faster. Still, the Texans had more wins in years 5 through 11 than Carolina and the same number of wins as Jacksonville.
Hopkins with more suspect route running today... and the lack of effort/drop at the end. He's not had a good season... even worse if you take away the "breakout" OT game against Ten (which was the last time this team won... ugh). Meanwhile, Keenan Allen (who some thought had more talent than Hopkins going into the draft) continues to excel in SD.
Except for Watt, who is keeping the pedal to the medal? The coaching staff sucks so bad that we have no idea which players will prosper in a new environment. Except Schaub, he's got to go.
Umm, you do realize that the chart you included shows improvement in all but one year- and that the up-and-down really can't include this year yet, right? I'm as pissed about this season as anyone, but I think a whole bunch of people need to step back off the ledge and be a bit more realistic.
Well, obviously they're not going to get rid of everybody... but it would also be foolhardy to presume its all about the coaching, and none of these players are jus simply "not good" or have already had their best years behind them. Not going to pile on De'Andre too much, as he is still a rookie who should be here for the foreseeable future... but he does have some work to do on route running, and develop ways to gain separation... there were several routes today where the CB was basically running step for step with him.
