Down the stretch? What the one playoff game before he got hurt? He wasn't useless down the stretch of the regular season.

Was Jeremy that ineffective before he got injured in game 2? It probably is damn hard for people to make an objective judgement when they are blinded by so call "LOFs' hating" or personal prejudice for one reason or another.

If Jeremy can will it, I say let him play. I am sure he wants to win just as much as we do and given the occasion, he must take the risk.

I thought he looked good in the first half. Numbers weren't outstanding but he was playing aggressively and driving instead of staying behind the arc. If he didn't get hurt and continued his play in the 2nd half I really think we could have stolen that game. As much as I like AB, he and Smith really dug us into a hole in the 3rd quarter.

Maybe people that joined the rockets board just this year and just started watching the rockets should brush up and see how Brooks has played for the rockets in the playoffs. He has done more than anyone with the exception of Harden. He is growing more and more acclimated as the games go on. What Brooks did in 2009 alone >>>>>what Lin has ever done.

Someone else that saw the game much more than shots going in. Brooks was putting the presser on fisher and the thunder all game long. It gave me flashbacks of 2009 where he was the only reason we even took the lakers to 7 games....

More and more acclimated every game, I pray he can become his old self...dude is only 28.

If Lin plays like he has the last couple of games almost every other player on our roster would be better...maybe even the ball boy. In the one minute Brooks was in the game he had more of an impact that Lin had in 3 games.

you do know that the part of his chest that is bruised makes him harder to breath and in a sport like basketball where you sprint a lot he loses breath faster. and the bruise he has should take around 2-3 weeks to heal...

Sorry but didn't know where to post this.

OK Stern, you know what you have to do. Take this to a seven game series. ;)

You mean to tell me that people in China & Taiwan can watch the games live and people in Houston can't. What's up with that?

Jeremy Lin's Presence In The NBA Playoffs Boosts Viewership And Merchandise Sales In China

While the Houston Rockets seek to overcome a winning deficit to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA continues to seek significant increases in its viewership and merchandise sales numbers in China. The NBA partially has Jeremy Lin, the American basketball player born to Taiwanese emigrants, to thank for its recent market successes in China. Since joining the NBA last year with the Knicks, playing with the Rockets this season, and making the playoffs with both teams, Lin has helped fuel post-season NBA interest in China and Taiwan.

The NBA playoffs television schedule in China demarcates the nation’s growing fascination with the league and its players. Every NBA playoff game will be shown live in China, with six games being shown nationally per week on CCTV5 during the first and second rounds. Every game during the NBA Conference Finals and the Finals will be shown live on CCTV5. These games will be enhanced by a two-hour weekly NBA show that was launched by the Chinese network earlier this season.

Growth in television coverage is not the only benefit the NBA has seen in China since Lin joined the league last season. Rather, the NBA has also seen significant digital growth in China over the last two seasons. Last year, the NBA’s Chinese website experienced 3.3 billion page views. This year, that number is up by 34 percent, to 4.5 billion page views. Perhaps more impressive, though, are the number of video streams the NBA managed this year in China. During the 2012-13 regular season, total video streams for the NBA increased by 169 percent over the 2011-12 season, from 1.2 billion to 3.2billion.

Merchandise sales may be the biggest area in which Lin’s presence in the NBA can be felt when it comes to impacting the markets in China and Taiwan. The NBA’s merchandise sales are up significantly in both China and Taiwan. Given that Lin’s parents were born in Taiwan, it is arguable that its citizens may feel a connection to him, leading them to purchase a greater amount of NBA merchandise than they would have prior to Lin playing in the league. While the NBA has seen a triple-digit increase in its Chinese merchandise revenues over the last five years, a significant portion of that increase has come since Lin joined the NBA two years ago. The NBA’s overall apparel sales are up by triple digits in both China and Taiwan for the first quarter of the 2013 fiscal year, as opposed to the first quarter of 2012. While the NBA has opened more than 30 NBA Shops this season in Taiwan, it expects its overall merchandising business to increase by triple digits there this season.

While much of the NBA’s growth in China, and particularly Taiwan, over the last two years can be attributed to Lin’s presence in the league, the NBA has seen significant gains elsewhere as well. This season marked the most-watched regular season on NBA TV and the second most-watched regular season on the NBA’s network partners: ABC, ESPN and TNT. Average viewership for the NBA during the 2012-13 regular season was up by 37 percent, and capped off a decade of viewership growth. Thus, whether the Rockets win tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive or go home after four games, the NBA is likely to continue seeing growth both domestically in the United States and abroad in China, Taiwan and other nations.

Give me Beverly and Brooks all day right now, we cant afford the luxury of giving jeremy lin a chance to prove he's something he's not, ESPECIALLY when hes hurt. Im no LOF or LOH, lin is an average pg to me...beverly has stepped up to the stage and this isnt brooks first rodeo against a championship team in the playoffs, he's more than capable...id even venture to say more capable than a healthy lin at this point.

smh at me posting in a troll thread lol

Saying Lin didn't do **** to help team into playoffs is a little too much. There were games where he didn't do so well but there were other games where he played good defense, assisted the crap outta teammates, and scored 20+ or 30+ points. LOFs are bad but so are you with hate-posts like this.

2 assists and 2 turnovers? Lin is surely incapable of doing that.

No matter which Lin shows up, I don't want him to play more than a back up to Beverley and Brooks just to give those guys a breather.

With his current injury, Lin's shooting is definitely going to be off which makes him a second option to Brooks.

On defense, even when healthy he doesn't have as much stamina as Beverley has so using him as primary defender is out of the question.

The team has proved they could win without him. There is no reason for him to rush back. Even if he came back and played his heart out, he is going to play a mediocre game at best. If he aggravated his injury, that early comeback would just be stupid.

I hope he's really ready by wednesday. A healthy Lin can and will contribute positively. If not then bench him.
