We must continue to exploit this matchup . . . and am so happy AB is back with the chance to do it!!!!! Go AB!
but we cannot risk it. if the scrub lin shows up, its season over and a potential history-creating opportunity gone. If our PGs were playing poorly then sure, I'd welcome Lin back with open arms. But currently our PG rotation is amazing, like seriously. You cannot ask for better PGs than 2 speedy PGs who are not required to play defence and can break down their man at will.
I was really impressed with Beverley's ability to create his shot this game. He was looking pretty good on offense.
Agreed at this point... it would be best if lin comes of the bench in case the other pgs started to stunk it up
"Amazing" is a bit much, but they are playing very well to the point that an injured Lin shouldn't force himself into the rotation.
I'm definitely happy with our point guards. People underestimate their height but they have really long wingspans to defend bigger dudes.
No dude not saying that, I really didn't know if you were being serious. I think you took his statements a little too personal. Don't think what he said was all the way correct though.
One of the reason Brooks was traded in the first place was that he is not a true point guard; meaning--he doesn't make others better, which is to say he doesn't pass. Brooks is all one on one. There is a reason why Sacramento let him go, and why he played in China for a year instead of in the NBA. Right now FISHER is guarding him, guys... Bev is somewhat the same way. Name another starting NBA point guard who plays upwards of 40 minutes a game and ends up with only 1 assist. There are none, because that is unacceptable for an NBA point guard. People forget that there had been also a 5 game stretch not so long ago where Bev also didn't score a single point in all those games, and averaged only about two assists (if Jlin went o-fer for five games in a row you'd never hear the end of it). You have to be pleased anyhow with the way Bev and Brooks are playing. However Jlin knows how to run the fast break offense way better than both these guys, has a higher ceiling, can on any given night score 25 points (or even 30) and/or dish out 10 dimes and/or have 5 steals. But more importantly he can run an offense; without Lin, Harden has a LOT more to do than he usually would with Jlin in there. Today the Rox hit their outside shots; that doesn't always happen...
Dude, he did say that. Maybe out of spite, I don't know. He is disappointed at Lin but that is a sensitive topic and he should had word it better.
I get it, I've stayed out of the Lin topic because you can't win you're either a LOF or LOH. My perspective, Lin has potential but has a lot of things to work on if he's on this team. Beverly is raw but plays with a lot of energy and works hard on d. Brooks meh. Good veteran back up. For this team Lin needs to be a more consistent finisher when he attacks or work in some mid range game. Beverly needs to continue to work on spot up 3's.
id prefer beverly and brooks. brooks should get more minutes since his defense wont be exploited since westbrook isnt here.
I don't know how fair of an observation this is, but the Rockets did NOT start winning playoff games until Lin was out.
OKC losing Westbrook has more to do with it than the Rockets losing Lin. I'd rather have Beverly starting than Lin, but I'd rather have Lin coming off the bench than Brooks.
as much as i've seen lin contribute to the success of this team this year, i think we should sit him for the next game until 1. he's fully healthy 2. if we advance to the next round i like the dynamic of what's been going on with the team. we're winning. if however, he can help the team, then by all means, come out and play bro!
