I hope Lin stays away until game 6 or 7. The Rockets need to secure the W and they can't do that with Lin if he's only 85% or even 99% healthy. Bev and Brooks have earnt the trust to play in game 5.
the little girl that survived durant falling on her is tough and a true rockets fan. she just ignored durant and gave him a mean look. Had it been some douche wearing a suit he'd be high fiving durant like that 'rocket fan' high fiving derek fisher. still upset about that.
This! just like what Lin had said before, he has to keep proofing himself again, again and then again. I don't think his reference to "proofing" means he is a superstar or star, but just a PG capable of playing in NBA. From my observation of reading posts since my join date, I found that some people think they are the Rocket fans or whoever only fans or haters will start bashing Lin as soon as they saw posts about Lin. And then some LOF, of course, would respond to disagree. And then the argument just goes on and on. It's kind of frustrating. I, myself would prefer to read posts that stick with OP thread if it was objective, logical, fair or provides constructive criticism. I started watching NBA again after Lin burst out in NYC and then followed him to Rockets. So I know I am going to be labeled as LOF, but so what? I want Lin to do well and also want the Rockets to do well, too. When we watch a game, do you seriously think that all LOF would not root for Rocket to win? I don't pay for LP to watch my player being on a losing team. In this case, am I a Rocket fan or not? It's frustrating to know that we have to label people into different groups so that we can use that label to attack, or discriminate.
Or the simple explanation is instead of sitting out practice because of a busted good side, he was just making the best use of his time by practicing on his weak side?
I hope he takes his time because we don't need him if he's going to soak up minutes and not do anything because of his injury like he did in game 3. I'd rather just start Beverley because we've won a playoff game with him, don't fix what isn't broke.
The odds of even winning this series is next to 0. Actually it is 0 because I don't think any team ever came back from 3-0 deficit to win. OKC will definitely not make it easy on PB so there will be more of an upside to having JLin back. IMO, It's more about going down as a team and no longer about winning this series. It's a game of pride now for the team. Therefore JLin needs to play.
He's been smart enough to pull himself out when he knew he was hurting the team and not helping them. Albeit, he should have taken himself out a little earlier in game 3 I think it was. Anyway, I'm sure he'll continue to think team first.
Has there ever been a 3-0 series with one team losing games within 1 possession and the other team losing a star player in the process?
Such hostility does not belong in this discussion. I have never seen such intense hostility by a fan of team towards a member of the team. It turns me off.
He's really not that good, and he deserves some criticism. I could deal with Yao being injury prone because he was a beast. Jeremy, not so much.
It really doesn't matter if Jeremy Lin plays or not. It's not like we've lost a Kobe or a Lebron. I mean does it really make a difference? The Rockets have obviously compensated for his loss, it's all on the team now to bring it.
How did Yao's first season went? Much worst than Lin, but his coach didn't gave up on him. Coach continue developing and providing opportunities to Yao to prove himself. If Yao is under McHale, he would have the same faith as TMo, getting rioted at bench. Most of Lin's terrible performance come from the fact he was told to camp at the 3s. Don't give me the crap that McHale want to give him more opportunity to shoot 3 in the game. He can shoot the 3 at practice. He is a PG, he needs to control the ball. You see when he controls the ball, he excelled. Of course, fans don't remembered when he excel with the ball, but only remember he miss the shoot and the turned over.
You do realize before the Lin injury in game 2 he had 7 points, 3 boards and 4 assists in the first half and we were only down by 4 right? Yea he had a terrible game 1 but dont let that stunt your perception of how he can perform when healthy. If he's at least 75%, I definitely want him playing because this is do or die. If he's not, he'll probably hurt more than help and he should sit.
