yeah i know that it was not the majority of people. i was talking about the people here who thought he's really good. i knew it wasn't the majority of people on the board that thought he should be a starter.

Phoenix thought they would sleep walk through this game but our guys showed their heart. -- Something we already knew they had.

I was pretty sure we'd show up but we just didn't have that guy to go to in the end. The only thing this game showed is that complimentary players are just that against a western conference dynamo.

That said, I was humbled by the our play. JL3 is a weak scape-goat. Howard and Head were struggling throughout.

How does JLIII play the same amount of minutes (approximately) and shot nearly twice as many shots as Bonzi. Wells was the best player on the court tonight for Houston (excluding Battier b/c he is more a coach than player)?!?!?!

I don't want to turn this into a play Bonzi thread, but I'm pretty darn sure that if you gave Bonzi the same minutes as JLIII playing the same position, Bonzi would outplay him even if he was 50 lbs overweight.

wow there are some straight idiots on here...are you telling you would rather have played turnover prone vspan in a game like this...name another game where john lucas has played bad...he did and pretty good job against the fastest player in the league in barbosa...and honestly i dont think he played bad if you look at the plus and minus ratio when he is in the game its on the plus side...but i guess everybody looks for a scapegoat..he has prolly the most heart on the team he usually hits his floater it just wasnt falling tonite...stop hating on john because he has been nothing but great for this team this year

    JLIII's shot selection was bad.
Everytime the ball touched his hands, it stopped, for several seconds, he didn't move it.
He got alligator arms in the 2nd half.
His defense was nonexistant once again as the Suns lit him up from the 3 point line.

Everybody's riding Rafer's jock like he had a great game. He finally got his PPS up to 1.16 this game. At least it wasn't riding at or below 1.0. Probably his best game of the season.

I didn't like the guy even before he had this terrible game..

the guy is a ballhoggin midget who cares about nothing but padding his stats..

he loves dribbling, he wants to show us his skills. but guess what John John? u cant dribble the ball for 20 seconds for the hell of it then pass it to Chuck Hayes out on the perimeter.

but that's not the good part yet, the good part is that our great coach allowed this scrub to jackup 13 shots and played him 19 minutes. yes ladies and gentlemen, 19 minutes, that's the same time Bonzi and Snyder got COMBINED. and we still got people doing the "FIRE GUNDY  " cute little joke as if JVG is doing a great job coaching.

I am not mad that we lost this game. I wasn't expecting a win even with a healthy Yao and Tmac. but I am mad at our game plan and at our poor excution and decision making.

a lot of people scream out "Vspan sux" if they hear his name. I agree 100%. he is a turn-over machine that cant shoot worth a crap. but the question remains: is he worse than Lucas?. the question remains unanswered because we got a chance to see how bad Lucas sux but are yet to see how bad Span sux. we've seen some instances earlier this year, but it doesn't eliminate the doubt. is Lucas better than Spanoulis? hmmm... really weird. I guess JVG think so, and we gotta trust our great coach. no JVG hate here, I dont want to be chased around by "true" fans who hate "whining".

yeah, bad game, man, why didn't I think of that?

he really did have a bad game. I would assume this game was really special (because the Suns defense is terribly good) that he dribbled the ball for 20 seconds just for the hell of it then he passed it to a teammate,,,,,, who is totally underpressure!!!!

or, here's the better part, he doesn't wait at all, just gathers himself and goes 1 on 5. goes off balance, chucks one up, AIRBALL!! or BRICK!! nice, very nice.. but u gotta remember, especially if u are 5'2 with no skills whatsoever, that it takes 5... afterall, u are not a fool...

    are you john john???

but guys, please, dont blame it on the kid. it's not his fault..

blame it on the bald dude who played him extended minutes and allowed him to jack up 13 shots..

seriously? 13 shots? who the heck are u ha? freakin Raja Bell had 13 shots.. Marion had 13 shots..freakin Steve Nash had 10 attempts... yep, the MVP had 10 shots and the 5'10 scrub had 13 shots. impressive, very impressive...

here is the good part, he was allowed to.. he wasn't benched.. no, why bench him guys? it hurts his feelings. but if Novak bricks a three, pull him out and glue his a$$ to the bench. same with VSpan, if he turns it over, bench is posterior..

again, it's not the loss that makes me feel bad. it's the fact that we could've done better. we could've played better if we our coach didn't let Lucas jack up 13 shots and make only 3 of them. we could've done better if we didn't jack up 30 3-pointers. we would've probably still lost, but we would've done what we are supposed to do and did our best.

but dont get me wrong, I LOVE YOU JVG.. I think u are a great coach. make no mistake about it.

JL3 is a shooting guard trapped in a 5'11'' frame...
He tries to establish himself in the team and I respect that but not at the expense of the team chemistry. He can make some j's but you don't expect from your pg to just score and disrupt the offensive balance. The pg should first distribute the ball and keep his team-mates happy and the scoring abilities come second.

Missing shots is one thing. It happens to best players. Repeatedly taking bad shots, dribbling the clock out and throwing to ball to guys in no position to score is unforgivable. He does all of that nearly every night.

JLIII is about as polished as he's going to be and that isn't very good. He is a 3rd string PG and we need better than that right now considering we only have one other guy on the team who can dribble the ball up the court safely.

JL3 is an Earl Boykins type of player....he is NOT a PG...he is a midget sized 2 guard.

    He is Calvin Murphy light.

But, on nights he is bricken, he needs to be sitten !
