No I was more hopeful then but once we saw cp3 after injury it became clear he wasn’t the same guy. So yeah I am more hopeful bc Russ has heart and explosion. Prayers up bro.
The old teams were so selfless, sharing, and worked as a team. Different hero every night. Yes the philosophy was better. Seeing Hakeem share the mvp with the team was emotional and warm. Hakeem was someone truly extraordinary.
This is true brother. We had so many lows in both championship years. The adversity we overcame was amazing. Every time it looked like we would lose we somehow won. Truly inspirational. Never stop fighting the good fight. If you believe you can achieve. The mind is stronger than anything else bc it makes you physically stronger when you shouldn’t have anything left in the tank.
The game last night was a testament to our will. Coming down from 17 to win the game. Westbrook with 40 points and playing with all out hustle and heart. Harden taking over with 10 points down the stretch. PJ harassing Kawhi into 4 turnovers and a poor performance in the second half. The chemistry is starting to form. The hearts are getting stronger. We will have some losses along the journey, but we will not lose our heart. #clutchcitylivesagain @deb4rockets look what you did. You helped grow my grinch heart ❤️
Another night and another phenomenal game. This team is coming together. We have 2 MVPs now. They have both had enough heartache. Hakeem has similar heartache early in his career. The media and fans were clamoring for him to be traded before 1992-1993 season. That’s when he become stronger, rose up, and the team bonded and United. God-willing that’s what we are witnessing now with James Harden and Russell Westbrook. #clutchcitylives
Key points to the game. -The game was coached well by MDA —> He broke the Clippers momentum 3 times by calling timeouts. -Harden stepped aside for Westbrook to run the show but Harden also came to in as the closer. Plus he didn’t disappear at any point in the process. -The Clippers lost of Sweet Lu. Yes, the referees helped us win that game. The Clippers weren’t the same after Lu was throughout for something more than questionable. Back to the OP point, yes it was / is fun to believe in the team again. That is what fandom is all about. The entertainment of seeing YOUR / OUR team fight back against a better coach and players (most of which were once Rockets themselves —> we cheered for) (less Harden). To win from a large deficit. Knowing in your heart it was going to happen because it was/ is/ and should always happen because the Rockets deserve it because of the potential success and hard working players working as one for one goal —> to win.
Nobody thought the 1994-1995 rockets would win. They were the 6th seed that year and they won it all. Pray for it and hope for the best bro. Happy holidays
I agree. Let’s play so good that the refs and silver can’t do anything to stop us! Play so well that the officials can’t even affect the outcome even if they wanted to. Ball so hard they wanna fine us. Dream so hard that’s what defines us
I agree with you bro. The chemistry is just coming together. I won’t be surprised if we get the 1 seed in the west when it is all said and done.
I would consider myself more hopeful than optimistic. I don’t believe this team can put forth the same quality of play they have so far this season and win a ring. But I hope the intensity, focus, and skill level of the players and coaches pick up as it gets closer to the playoffs. I’m skeptical of Harden in crunch time playoff moments and I wouldn’t be against blowing it up after this year or bringing in a new coach that’s going to be more hard nosed/ tough on the players....but I don’t think we are that far off from winning a ring and i watch every game hoping that they are taking each scenario as a learning experience to use down the road.
this is true... but I think its those poor performances that helped the team come together as a unit... but I ask you this... If MDA had been coaching that team, would Sam and Horry have been given the opportunities to contribute as they did - as rookies and 2nd year players? ...jus sayin... lol
Comparing Sam Cassell and Robert Horry (both 1st rounders) to 2nd rounder Isaiah Hartenstein and undrafted FA Gary Clark is preposterous. Unfair narrative just to support your MDA bias.
I am high on life and love, too. The addiction is overwhelming. Family first is the best choice I have ever made.
