Side note: the "messiah" meme is a ****ing idiotic strawman creating by Republicans and you're an intellectually dishonest moron for spamming it repeatedly because nobody on this forum believes that Obama is a holy savior who will repair every ill in this country
Funny, that is exactly what Palin and the Republicans would've done. They see no wrong in mis-appropriation of official funds. That's just the very typical conservative political mindset. Let the public serve us instead of being public servants.

And you think McCain is the truth? Neither of them are. Open your mind and start using your time wisely in life. At the end of the day, what is it ALL about?
basso, I didn't watch your video. Did you once again find *some* people to support your strawman and therefore generalize to millions of voters? Not interested. Or we can go back to "all McCain voters think ______ blah blah." Not interesting or helpful to any of us. The point is I have never heard anyone I know, or seen anyone on this BBS but a right wing poster call Obama a "savior" or "messiah." The whole delusional "Obamanots," "drinking the koolaid" strawman is created to make people who disagree feel better, I guess. The sad thing is it just continues to define the McCain campaign as a response to Obama. In truth, 99% of Obama supporters think he's the better choice because of: policies, disposition, intelligence, consistency, and pragmatism. He himself has said he'd be far from perfect as president, and 99% of his supporters would acknowledge that if you wanted to have honest dialogue with them. But okay, please pardon this interruption in the strawman festival of all-Obama-supporters-are-dumb-zombies-who-think-he-will-fly-around-and-cure-everything. Kind of like a late version of Burning Man or some such, based in Norman, Oklahoma or Salt Lake City. (Lot of influx of SLC cash to California in this election cycle -- wonder why? Something about a Proposition 8. Story for another time. Will be working against 8 this weekend, and on that it's nice that we agree.)
More insightful commentary from Obasso -- it's no wonder your team has such a commanding lead right now.
btw, you might be interested in why The One won't support gay marriage: god told him not to. imagine the outcry if palin had said such a thing: from the times story today: [rquoter]Several gay friends and wealthy gay donors to Senator Barack Obama have asked him over the years why, as a matter of logic and fairness, he opposes same-sex marriage even though he has condemned old miscegenation laws that would have barred his black father from marrying his white mother. The difference, Mr. Obama has told them, is religion. As a Christian — he is a member of the United Church of Christ — Mr. Obama believes that marriage is a sacred union, a blessing from God, and one that is intended for a man and a woman exclusively.[/rquoter]
that would be bad if he had actually said that, its especially funny when you say someone said something, and then you quote them, and the quote doesn't say what you said they said.
dude.....go through any thread here and look for the words, 'Sarah Palin' and the 'intellectually dishonest' moronic statements surrounding her name. get back to me when you and the messiah are done having dinner.

come on, basso. You hit me with the olive branch? Who is "The One?" Anyway, both campaigns have more or less the same stance on gay marriage. Please don't lead me to break down how the two major parties have behaved on this issue. It is not pretty for either, but it is downright disgusting for one side in particular, as evidenced by what all Californians are witnessing.
If Obama had pulled strings to get her legal status, it'd be an ethics violation and you clowns would be all over it. I haven't even read Obama's book, so I'm curious how you guys seem to have such an intimate knowledge of it. Do you really know what his relationship was with these people he's only met two times in his life?
i don't think there's a functional difference between the two parties on this issue. i find obama's (wide) stance to be just as narrow as mccain's.
