A healthy rockets squad is a lock for the second round. but the question is, will we get healthy in time?....
It is the holiday season brother. People (fans) actually have lives outside of Rox talk you know. You felt or rather assumed wrong - chill out, all will be well. It is not even a question if the Rox will make the post season (what an insult) - I am guaranteeing that they will make the second round at the very least (and possibly beyond that). Yes I am talking about this 2005-2006 season. WE WILL MAKE THE SECOND ROUND damn it. P.S. I do not mind bandwaggon fans - they help fill up seats.
Like many here - I will support the team thru thick and thin. I will remain loyal to the end. Many have doubted us before...
I will watch most if not all the games anyway. I voted "nope", but it will be close and I still have some "hope". It depends on Yao. I think Yao is proving to be much more important than many of us thought, and I don't think T- Mac can carry the load night after night without Yao.
We can't beat anyone right now, much less an 18-10 Cleveland team, or 17-11 Milwaukee team...well, heck, as I said, everyone on that list is better than us right now so I see no reason for us to be the favorites.
With Yao and TMac in the lineup, I feel like this team can beat anybody. With all of the injuries we have had, the results are evident. I am holding out hope that we can get enough people back before it is to late an make our move into the playoffs, and from there, the championship.
...and with nothing to back it up, that "guarantee" is not even worth the electrons being used to display it.
So has every other NBA coach...until they fail to make the playoffs. Mr. Van Gundy has never been eight under .500 more than a third of the way through an NBA season either.
we are only 5 games out of the playoffs. if we are healthy at the start of february i think we can tear through that months schedule and put ourselves in the playoff race. although, it all depends on if we can keep ourselves close to the 8th spot through january.
Big fan...but reality is a nasty thing, and the Rockets are just too injured right now, and the cavalry is still a month away. I think we ride out the storm, see if Swift and Rafer are pieces to the puzzle or just pieces of sh.. DD
I think the Rockets will make playoffs, but a low-seed (6,7,8), and I dont think they can go the NBA Finals, we will pass the 1st round.
I really think that injuries have been bringing people to step up and grow this season. Swift its been playing better and the rook showed his stuff because of the injuries. We will have a better, stronger team when we get the whole team back.
I am willing to back mine up if you are willing to back up anything as tangible as my stance. So take a stab at one thing you are willing to hang yourself on and we can go ahead with a healthy wager.
