Especially when more than one falls down at the same time in different spots on the court. As long as Sloan is coaching there is still a chance that all five players and a couple on the bench will flop at the same time.
That's the only reason I wouldn't have minded them getting in the playoffs. They would have had no chance in the playoffs. And I know the chance of them getting a high lotto is extremely small, but there's still a chance. down with the jazz.
Personally, I rather like this year's Jazz team, mainly because they're overachieving with so little. The fact that they play team basketball in a way the Rockets will never, ever come close to doing. The team just doesn't remind me of the Jazz teams of old. It's so different. And I do wish Jerry Sloan would get at least one COY in his career. As much as I hate him back in the 90s, the man is a great coach and deserves some recognition. This was a team that's suppose to go into the cellar. How could a team lose Malone and Stockton, and still win 41 games is beyond me.
Every team in the Midwest made the playoffs, BUT the Jazzholes. They are my second hated team behind the spurms.
I feel fine knowing the Jazz will never win an NBA title. Cheering against them post-Malone/Stockton feels just like cheering against the Bulls post-Jordan. It's not needed. They had their time to shine, they suck now. Meh.
How sad would it be to be a fan of that team and realize that your streak just ended and you got NO title out of it. You could have gotten a title back in 94 & 95 UTAH.. but luckily we whipped you. Yep, that's right. The rockets are the ones who kept you from your rings.
I don't think the coaching or talent or what not in Utah is the problem with FA. The prob with Utah is the city of Utah, the ultra conservativeness of the state, the Classlessness of the organization, and the overall bad feel of every thing that has to do with the purple Jazz.
I can understand hating the Jazz because of Malone and Stockton, a pair of dirty players, whiners and floppers to boot. Maybe Sloan was partially at fault for not at least limiting that. But why do we hate the organization? In my mind, the Sonics will always be Rockets enemy No. 1--1993 WCSF game 7 and the embarrassing 1996 WCSF sweep are forever burned into my retina. But even that has faded with the departure of Jim "Hakeem is my b****" Mcilvaine and George "this is not zone defense" Karl.
Look at Orlando. one year after they made the playoffs, they went for the big splash and it bit them in the ass. F**K UTAH!
Sloan: "Andrei, you set an illegal, moving pick at the top. Carlos, you come around and throw an elbow into your defender's face, then pass it to Raja. Raja, I want you to flop every time. If nobaody gets a whistle, get up and cry about it every friggin' time. Everybody got it? Let's go!" yeah, that's how you win a championship -- droxford
Anything that pisses Jerry Sloan off makes RM95 happy. Apparently, it also makes him type in third person.
Over on the Jazz fan boards, they're trying to figure out how the lottery works and salivating at every mention of Okafur... (and complaining about ref treatment, but hey... what's new there?)
You wanna know something even more funny.....the Rockets weren't too far away themselves. Rockets : 45 - 36 Jazz : 42 - 39 You wanna know something even funnier.....people still b1tching about flopping and other tactics used by the majority in the NBA.
