T-Mac says he feels back to old self

    TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2009 7:45 PM CST

"The knee feels good," said McGrady. "I'm confident about it.
That was something I was lacking. I tried to come back early and I didn't have the physical and mental aspect to go out there and compete against some of the best players in the world. It just didn't work out for me, but now I feel like I'm back."

"I [too] was frustrated at the beginning of the season because I wasn't able to be myself," said McGrady. "I was just eager and anxious to get out there because of what we brought as far as our roster, having Ron Artest and adding some of the pieces that we did. I was just excited about getting out there and getting my team off to a good start. Now if that hurt me with my fans, so be it. I'll get them back because I believe in my ability."

    Tracy,
The TOFs will never leave you.

How did I know coming in to this thread that tinman was gonna post in it?

    Lmao.

I wish Tracy all the best. It's sad injuries derailed his career, but I think he still has a good chance to get a ring. It's not like he's 39 or something he's only 31.

Why do you care so much about McGrady if he's not even part of this team anymore? You shouldn't care, it's irrelevant, he's moved on, this teams moved on too. For a person that hates McGrady a lot, you really seem to pay attention and be a little too attached to him.

    He's butt-hurt dude.

    Either two reasons.

He's in love with Mcgrady and is denying it.

He asked Mcgrady for an autograph once, and Mcgrady laughed and said Fu** off.

tmac being honest and candid. i dont see why ppl are saying he's "putting his foot in his mouth"

it's true, if he was healthy... if 2005 tmac was on the team with a healthy yao+artest+ab+landry+scola+lowry.... it would ACTUALLY be reasonable to say we're contenders.... not the usual delusional nonsense from rockets fanboys. it's one thing to be a fan... it's a whole new level of sadness to be delusional.

we shouldve started the rebuilding process way earlier after tmac and yao started having recurring injuries.

"Not only could we get to the playoffs, but we could have made it to the Finals. And that team – without me, without Yao in most of the playoffs – they made it to the second round and took the Lakers to seven games."

Part of the reason why so many people dislike tmac is because he likes to throw teammates under the bus or take credit away from them and this is the perfect example.

Yao played every single game of the first round where the Rockets won and advanced. The Yao played 3 games in the second round where the Rockets lost so clearly Yao played most of the playoffs but Tmac's wording try to not give Yao credit for passing the first round trying to imply Yao missed most of the playoffs and the Rockets advanced without him when in fact Yao played every single game and the team did something tmac has never done in his whole career which is win a playoff series. :p

What if Tracy can make some shots down the stretch when Rox were 5 points ahead of Utah, with 5 minutes left in 4th quarter on home floor in 2007 game 7?

Then he would no long be a 2nd round virgin.

Instead of blaming injury for not getting a championship, how about blame yourself for not being tough enough to get past first round when it mattered.

what if i had rehabbed properly with all my injuries... what if i'd actually pushed myself beyond my barriers...

t-mac's problem was he was happy to be really good, and wasn't truly concerned with being great. all the talent and hard earned skill amounts to nothing if you don't have the heart and drive to push yourself to 110% at all times.

i can't remember who said it, but something like "i achieve what people call impossible by working harder than anyone before me"

How is he throwing Yao under the bus with that quote? Some of you nitpick about every single quote this guy makes.

    I'm sure Yao is thinking:

"If I played with Kobe instead of this loser..."

    Yao:"Hey Kobe"
    Kobe:"what news?"
    Yao:"I'm still stuck with Tracy"
Kobe:"give me a hug man, It'll be ok"
