He could perfectly improve at his weaknesses watching the games, listening his coaches, reflecting. Instead of saying I'm better than Budinger, think why he's playing more than you and what he does better. I won't take the "the world is against me" speech, specially when we're watching the same mistakes as the first day every time he plays.

Because our team needs were different. Chase was one of the best outside shooters, so if we wanted to stretch the floor, he was the best option. Now that we have Martin, we don't have the exact same needs. JT is a penetrator/slasher who can play lockdown defense. Only now, Adelman is comfortable with the players he has. The only way JT gets his chance now is through injury, and that's a shame. It isn't like we have championship aspirations this year anyway. Might as well play him and let him develop. It doesn't even have to be at Chase's expense. Jeffries and Battier shouldn't even be on the court at this juncture.

Because the same could have been said about Wallace or Petrovic under Adelman. He has a precedent with not always playing the best players, only because of what he was comfortable with. Do you really think Battier is the best SF on the team? Or that JJ is a better option than Patterson? Do you think those are good developmental decisions for a team that has no chance at the championship this year, or the next few years (barring the unlikely acquisition of a true superstar)?
