Landry's already a Rocket for life in my book. I remember attending his first game back in Toyota Center after the trade and he hit the first shot of the game and smiled huge. Definitely would love to see him put the red jersey on again, but I don't think Scola's ever giving those minutes up again.

 

Good find. Looks like Carl is at the head of their NBA "stable." In other words, they don't have much of one, with all due respect to Carl. Would love to see Landry back on the bench for Houston and can see why his agent would, as well, given the publicity players with the Rockets get in the world's largest market, based on population. Still, a zinger at the Kings. Maybe they are NOT happy about not being offered an extension. That's possible.

I doubt Yao hangs out with Chuck and Landry all the time, maybe at the gym... Chuck likes to go to the club, and Landry used to like going to St. James strip club. If this is real, then look for the Rockets to give him more than what Scola got.

 

That's hilarious. No way he's getting a contract like Scola's, in my opinion, much less for more, from the Kings, the Rockets, or anyone else. Not next year.

I would love to have Landry back. Absolutely. I was thrilled to dump TMac and get Martin, but Landry leaving was a real downer. He is just a Rocket, bring him back.

I too was there. He definitely enjoyed his tribute video played some time during the first quarter or so as he was watching it the whole length thru.

I have to admit I almost shed a tear.... :grin:

But I did give him a standing O, it was well deserved.

 

His agent said "not yet" to carl having a girlfriend. That seems to imply he has never had a girlfriend, as opposed to saying "not now".

I think after this season, Landry is going to find himeself playing behind Patrick Patterson and I don't think he wants that. I think Patterson is a more solid fundamentally sound player. Not a great shooter like Landry but everything else is better.

 

Yao pretty much just lives in the gym. Has his whole life. It's obvious he's not into the whole global celebrity thing, and there's just no way he could head off to the strip club with Hayes and Landry without it being all over the Web in China. Plus, he's married with a newborn.
