Dude, you can always count on certain Rocket fans to have a Knee Jerk reaction. As far as Barnes is concerned, when Penders was run out of Austin, I couldn't believe there were people who thought that guy should keep his job. Earlier this season after the Kansas game I took a shot at Brandon Mouton for making mistakes at the end of games, something I saw in his play a few times last year. But the difference between Barnes and Penders is that this team has gotten better since last year. Mouton, Boddiker, even T.J. are all better players. Penders ruined the careers of guys like B.J. Tyler, Terrance Rencher, Kris Clack, so on and so on. Rick Barnes outclasses Penders in so many ways its not even funny. Sidenote: When Penders was fired, Jay Marioti (sp) who works for ESPN was on the Sportingnews radio network on 610. This idiot actually said that Penders was fired because he didn't get along with the southerners of Texas because he was an East Coast guy. Since that guy left, he has since ruined George Washington's and I think he was at Rhode Island before Harrick.

I've never been more proud of my good friend TD (Major knows who I'm talking about). Apparently, TD and his brother RD were instrumental in getting Penders out of town. If you've read that Penders book that came out a few years ago, you know who I'm talking about as well. I'm still pissed I didn't go meet Barnes when he was up in the law firm I was working at when he got hired. By all accounts, he's a great and hysterical guy.

I understood your point, I'm talking about the people who said Barnes should coach the Rockets, that's the knee jerk reaction. Well this forum IS full of Texas fans.... OU lost to a #1 seed....that means they suck? I don't see one bad loss on OU's schedule this year....Alabama and Miss State were both ranked in the top 10 when they played...Missouri at Missouri, OSU at OSU, and to top 3 Texas...
You OU fans who bothered to enter this thread asked for it: Time and... OU still sucks Is a tradition of ours. It is not to be taken literally, though it can be.
