This is great. Obama is on campus right now in anticipation for the debate and met with Mack and the team. Good stuff. I'm going to head over to the REC after I get out of my Business Process Excellence class to check out the media mayhem. http://www.statesman.com/blogs/cont...ghorns/entries/2008/02/21/obama_hooks_em.html So, Obama, can the Longhorns win another national championship? “Yes, they can.” Hours before he returns to the UT campus for tonight’s debate with Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. Barack Obama paid a courtesy call to Mack Brown and his Longhorns. It might seem like an odd pairing, given Brown’s repeated claims to be agnostic when it comes to politics. Brown has said that he doesn’t even vote (in anything other than the coaches poll), lest he be seen as straying too close to the political fire. Then again, his wife has donated to Obama’s campaign, giving $500 last March long before Obama’s bandwagon had filled with supporters. Perhaps Mack was lobbying Obama about that border fence idea we mentioned in today’s paper — a border fence to keep the Oklahoma recruiters out. Here are the photos from Obama’s visit to the land of the burnt orange and the home of the brave. Given the senator’s eagerness to flash the hook ‘em sign, his campaign just might find itself doing a little damage control among the Aggie vote. (Oh, who are we kidding. The Aggies are all Republicans, aren’t they governor?)
Wow, McCain is going to look like a hobbit on the same debate stage with Obama. Not that I would pick any politician over McCain in a brawl--no doubt the guy is tough.
great PR for obama. love that heisman pose. hillary is going to have a tough time during this debate. good luck to both.
He is wise to do that in an empty stadium. 80% of football fans showing up on gameday wouldn't vote for him. His civil rights drama queen sermon wouldn't play well at halftime.
Proof that Hussein Ubama is a liar the real question is whether Hussein Ubama will issue Presidential pardons to all the incarcerated bonghorns ROFLMAO
I like how they have a wall of NFL with the Texas players listed under each one. Clever. That's got to make a nice impression on the recruits.
