Watch the second video. Its pretty clear that the coach taught or encouraged this type of play.

First Impressions go a long way. He initially gave an opinion without even considering to research or find out more about it. I stand by what I said. I am not surprised he thought that way, initially. NO ONE should just brush that off as easily.

It's huge in Hong Kong right now, but even if the kid connected with the ball the ball would have hit the Kitchee kid on the ground. Either way the kid would have gotten hurt, plus the body language of the kid after he kicked the kid in the face just shows that he doesn't give a ****.

The whole arrest thing was a little ridiculous. The kid is only 10 he will eventually learn, now he's going to be scared ****less by the cops and media.

    Oh for crying out loud.....lol

All I saw was the first video which was hard to tell if it was intentional or not, then when I researched it and found the longer video, posted 15 minutes before you posted the same thing - maybe you should do some research in the entire thread before posting eh? - it was pretty clear that it was more than likely intentional.

And while the kid is at fault, I also blame the coach, those kids have to be coached to play that way - and it is 100% UNACCEPTABLE.

I coach all kinds of sports and tell my kids to play hard, and compete hard, but fair.....any kid that did that on my team would find themselves apologizing and sitting for a long time...not to mention lots and lots of wind sprints, meetings with parents, and discussions about sportsmanship.

At least I admitted I was incorrect, good luck with you doing the same, that would be a first.

Then DON'T post a knee-jerk reaction post, if you're going to research it and be put in your place by people who did that already. Something tells me that since everyone is saying "intentional!" after they researched it, you changed your tune... but you would still do this at a game...

You shouldn't have to tell someone "go apologize" if they don't feel like have to... and this way, you find out who the people with good intentions are...
It is called: "we-don't-wear-pads-all-over-our-head-and-body ball." :p

I get that Swoly, too bad you can't get over it - I thought you were bigger than that, but now I see that is not possible.

Sorry you are so rooted in your views....

I am going to be the bigger guy and give you the final word, - you know you won't be able to resist, I own your thoughts on here...you are obsessed, you will have to respond....

So respond now Swoly - take your best shot, the board wants you to.....

Now back to the topic - an argument with Swoly is a severe waste of time - he barely even understand soccer.

    ;)

    100% on the coach.

More parents f'in up kids sports. 10yo's.

I wouldn't read too much into the kid's reaction. He's as stunned as anyone and some kids that age just appear to feign indifference. By the longer vid I'd guess the kids were told to follow through with checks, and play aggressive on the other team. 10YO judgement ain't great when you've a misguided coach.

Coach should be banned. Parent's need to chill.

    viewing angles can be deceptive.

natural reaction from a kid. if he had walked away that would've been a good indicator he was trying to be bad ass.

the coach was yelling, "get away from the kids". he was totally in the right. the angry asian parent tried to accost the kicker. parents need to stay off the field.

^ AGREED. Ref should have come with the RED CARD for RED SHOES kid. RED SHOES should be banned from the league until he learns not to play "American" football on a 'soccer' pitch.
The one where I saw the entire video before I even posted and called it intentional? Yes, that one.

No, the one where you lectured DD about his opinion before reading the rest of the thread and seeing that he had changed his mind after watching a different video.

Definitely dirty. The coach is one the who needs to be held accountable for either teaching his kids to play dirty or not disciplining his kids when they play dirty.

I have to admit when I saw the original vid this was the first thing that came to mind.

 Because that's better than just doing it without saying it...? Mister self-indulgence and conceited... at his best...

Your initial reaction is the way you are. No reason to back out of it but to get people to think other ways about you. Changing...? No.
