Is this the guy with the bushy hair with about 20 signs stacked that he rolls through?

"Why sleep in a 100,000 dollar house when you can sleep under a 40 million dollar bridge ?"

Several months ago I saw a woman with one leg hop to get change at a light -- her fake leg was resting against the base of a streetlight.

I hate the guys who clean your windshield even when you wave them away. It makes you feel bad when you drive off.

I like the "Why lie, I need a beer" as I see that at least once a quarter...

I hardly ever give as my theory is that its a racket and the people that collect money don't actually keep it as their "pimp" keeps it all and they get jack for standing there all day...

Saw a homeless guy by Walmart at El Dorado in Clear Lake today. Some elderly white dude who was dressed pretty decent. Was holding a sign that said "Just lost my job. Need help."

I had to make a u-turn to go to Sonics. Bought a combo meal and went back, but he was gone. Spend five minutes driving around and looking for him before I found him. Gave him the food and $5. He was really really happy.

Sometimes we forget how fortunate some of us are.

I see a lot of homeless folks in downtown, and I do think about dropping off something to them.

A lot of homeless people have mental illnesses.

Some homeless people piss the **** outof me. They're just bums. You'll learn to eventually figure out who has mental illness, and who are just bums.

Gillespie should have never left A&M, but since he did, he might be holding a sign in the near future. ;)

There was some dude playing saxophone on the 610-North Main overpass I used to see every day when I lived in The Heights. He would play the Mexican Hat Dance and I think he had something wrong with one of his valves, because one of the notes he played always sounded REALLY bad.

I sometimes see (or hear) him in front of MMP at Astro games now.

u know before u make idiot comments like that u should try volunteering a cpl months at a homeless shelter and see what they go through. half of these ppl are mentally sick and couldnt hold a job down even if they wanted to.

Wow, what a horrible theory. Mine as well say you don't want to give because you have no heart. Seriously though, I never heard of homeless people having pimps. It doesn't even make sense. Where are these Homeless Pimps that you speak of? Chilling in their mansion under the bridge I guess.......

Are you sure it wasn't Leslie?

Not that he'd stand around begging for money like that.

u know before u make idiot requests for me to do something u should try rdng my pst, rookie. I am a taxpayer like you and I have a right to despise whatever LAZY bum I want.

SERIOUSLY, though, to answer your idiot post, I give money to the shelters so they can pay the volunteers something in return like parties and dances and to also make the facilities better, but I don't give money to the beggars on the streets.

vj23k, they can't work but they can take my money to the store and buy a beer? WOW. Nice.

Thank you, BigSherv. That's what I'm talking about.

there's no smiley on this post

They might not have pimps, but there are some that get beat up and robbed by other homeless guys, especially if they "invade" their turf.

Where was this? The Parmer-I35 and Riverside-I35 intersections are probably the ones that are most full of panhandlers.
