Considering the story quotes his former employer as saying that "He leads a simple life, by his choosing...", I don't see how Oski2005's statement is either cold or uninformed.

I often wonder how most people afford housing in California.

They don't. You can afford a Clippers season ticket but can't afford a decent home.

They don't. That's why I moved way outta there. When you consider prices in Compton starting at 300k, you know it's not worth living there anymore.

Thank you for your kind words. It could have been worse, but I stayed out of trouble. My first 4 months were hard and I lost 30 lbs of weight(5'7" 125lbs, before I was 155 lbs), due to not knowing where to find food and the charities. I refused to panhandle. I had too much pride. :D The last 8 months was less difficult. I am a former Covenant House kid, and spent the last 8 months at the shelter. While living there, I was able to get some donated clothes, bathe and find my first job. Money and clothing donations do alot of good over there, if you want to help the homeless kids.

No kidding, why not just make him the equipment's managers assitant of something like that, I'm sure that would be a dream job for him.

Most of the season ticket holders are corporations. They keep them in reserve as a "perk".

I'd "perk" them right in the junk if I had half a chance.
