Did the Hornets really need a reason to back out of the verbal agreement? The real reason would have been good enough. No need to lie. Wonder if Luther has given thought about going to Europe.
I remember that he was the only bright spot as a rookie in that awful 05/06 season. He hit some cold blooded shots. Luther never recovered from the playoffs failure in 07. I think he lost confidence ever since. He's not a total scrub. Some team might still use him as a good spot up shooter.
The CHeat could use him. All he has to do is play the Mike Miller role and just camp out at the three point line waiting for either Wade, LeBron or Bosh to pass it out to him.
