Good episode last night. Very believable that Carrie turned. Didn't expect her to actually be a double agent.

Wasn't the point of the last scene that she changed her mind? Why would she tell Saul if she actually planned on going through with it?

This was a plot hatched by Saul all along. Brilliant actually. Carrie had to come see him to see what the next part of the plan is.

Please let Dexters prodigy kill Dana, so it's the end of that story line.

The point of the last scene was to show you that this entire season has been a work by Saul and Carrie. They are working the Iranians and they are working the counter-intelligence guy, heck, even Quinn and Carrie's parents.

This was all to get the Iranian terrorist to try to recruit Carrie and it worked.

Her crying and telling Saul he should have gotten her out sooner was to show that the mental hospital was legit and she was miserable.

Honestly, I thought it was awesome, well played and it saved the season. I was really struggling with the whole "Carrie is off her meds again and now is back in a mental hospital."

I thought it was brilliant, but I've enjoyed the rest of the season, too. I liked last episode with Brody and his precarious situation.

Maybe I'm a little less enthralled with the home-front sage of Dana and whatnot, but it's pretty well done for my least-favorite of the four threads (Saul and "Salieri", quivering-lip Carrie, Brody + "look how quickly I learn English" Venezuelan girl + pedophile doctor with cool dialogue, home-front).

Was glad to see that twist. I was also wondering where the hell they were gonna go with this season.

Really sick of Dana and wish they would just do away with her story completely.

The Dana story is just so annoying. I don't even know why they feel the need to have a story with her in it. This is a show for adults. Do we really need the teenage drama?

If you want some time killer, build a story around the much easier on the eyes mother.

I actually find myself getting angry during the Dana scenes.

I was seriously debating just fast forwarding through the Dana scenes.

The mom just needs to walk around nekkid if they want to take a break from Carrie/Brody/terrorism

Dana is the Jon Snow of this show. I just skip her scenes entirely.

Okay... That's what I initially assumed. It just doesn't make much sense to me. There is no groundwork for this plot twist. When did they hatch the plan? It all seems to have been executed a little too perfectly by Saul. How would they know that someone would pursue Carrie to try and get her to turn? Why would she slam her head into a mirror?? I think Carrie could not have been involved until the lawyer visit. Maybe she was not keyed in on the particulars of the plan, such as the lack of money or missing car?

I think the plan was hatched sometime after the Langley bombing.

It was such a high profile case, Saul knew the Iranians would eventually pursue Carrie.

She slammed her head on the mirror because this mission has not exactly been a walk in the park. Staying in that psych ward was pretty damn draining emotionally. Undercover or not.

I was about to give up on the show when Carrie agreed to work for the Iranians. There is no way that would be believable as patriotic as Carrie is/was. As soon as she got to Saul's house I kinda got the feeling of what was about to happen.

It definitely saved the season so far. Can't wait for the next episode!

^my sentiments, too. Carrie, being a CIA agent (ex supposedly at the time), would never turn on her country. No matter how low she would go.

The twist saved the season for me, too. It's been pretty meh, but that plan was quite brilliant.

I'm still confused as to when she's trying to get money, or she's looking for her car... was she faking it?

If so, for what purpose? Unless she believes the bad guys are tracking her every move... which I guess they probably are since they found her at the one-night-stand place.

Probably because the further away she gets and the better she hides, the more it looks like she's running from the CIA. She needed to look desperate and distance herself to make it more believable.

I feel bad for the ginger, though. Dude got like $60 stolen from him.

That was definitely a pretty good curve ball last night. I should have known they were setting up something but I was pretty clueless until that meeting. They had me convinced.

Never know what kind of stuff Saul's assistant may have planted (cameras, video surveillance, etc), who may be watching her and who may be in cahoots with him.

I was really thinking this season was terrible up until last night.

My wife and I were wondering why they were not even really pursuing a terrorism angle but instead just how crazy Cary was.

All tied together nicely and it really sets the stage for a good rest of the season.

Daughter dies at hand of Zach Hamilton and mom does porno with Mike.

Couple of things being missed by people.

    1) It's been 6 months since the bombing

    2) This plot obviously is known only by Saul and Carrie. They know they have a mole in the CIA so nobody outside of them knows the details.

How do I know this to be the case?
-Quinn tells Saul that he is quitting after this mission because of how Saul is treating Carrie. Saul tells him something like "Let it play out" and Quinn tells him no
-Dar Adul guy has legit been working to take out Carrie and Saul plays it up with him. They've had private conversations where the other guy is attacking Carrie. It's clear that he isn't in on the deal either.

The reason Carrie is trying to get money and a car is because she has none. Dar Adul? (have no idea what that guys name is) that works with Saul doesn't know the details and is working to catch her. So she really is running from the CIA. He really put the pain down on her, shutting her bank account down, credit cards, etc.

As to why she put up the front and ran from the lawyer? She is making this look as real as possible.

I appreciate your explanation. I understand it better/find the plot twist more convincing, albeit not altogether satisfying.
