this is what tv networks did. now everyone can watch their shows from the networks' site..rather than torrent it.

    and they make money!

Can they even take down sites that just link to streams? Next, they'll be taking down the torrent websites down too.

Most "private" torrent sites/servers are hosted in Sweden, Finland, etc. The US big brother has no jurisdiction there. **** em.

This pisses me off more than anything. I pay $30 a month for league pass broadband too, only for most of the marquee non-Rockets games to be blacked out because they were moved to NBA TV or involve OKC (I'm in Oklahoma). It's complete bullsh-t. I only got it because I want to watch NBA games, but don't want or need cable. Thank god for FRsports and ESPN3, or I wouldn't see any decent games but the ones on ABC.

If these folks don't want us using sites like firstrowsports, they need a better business model.

Not sure about its location, but I always thought First Row catered to overseas audiences. Because, the soccer games would be highlighted first over the NFL games, which was little blurb. Though, I think when so many people started to use it over here to watch the NFL, then media companies weren't happy told (or paid) G-Men to do something about it. VIOLA.

It's the new annual Super Bowl tradition. Around this time, you can expect a wave of website seizures by the government if it relates to football. Can't have them ruin Super Bowl Sunday.

The funny thing is no one uses these sites for the superbowl.

The superbowl is free. Everyone in the states is watching it on some big screen HD television somewhere...I dunno, I've just never seen someone say "Stream for the superbowl?"

Yeah but, even if they were on the States, First Row doesn't host their content, they just link to the hosts. They talk about it in their takedown notice:

How'd the court find anything unlawful about it?

The whole process with domain seize is r****ded with how global internet is. All ICE/FBI can seize are the .com/.org/.net/.us and a few other domains. Anything.eu is safe.
