lol. all these folks worried about raising shy kids. Guess there are no problems with bullying etc anywhere in the public school system

There are situations as they describe, and then there are ones entirely different. I don’t think making sweeping generalizations saying it’s all awful or all great works here, and lends oneself to come off as a jackass in doing so.

My neighbor pulled their two sons out of high school during COVID. When schools reopened, they didn't feel comfortable with coming back too soon, so they homeschooled their kids. Great kids. All A's in public school. They just now finished their homeschooling, took the college exams scoring in the top 5%, and will be attending college.

Homeschooling should be a choice for families when public school doesn't work for them. I hope that advances in AI will one day provide more school choices.

Lets just look past the screen addiction of kids hiding behind their phones. This thread is a bastion of Gen X/late millennial ideology. There are some really good home school groups these days that far outpace most public schools. It is hard to beat a good high school with great programs, but lets be honest, those are far and few.

    Sure,

Not to mention are socially awkward in larger groups, but sure there are some that are ok......just not playing much sports I guess, or band, or theater, or science clubs or....well...yeah.
