thats the rich ppl's mentality. most of the upper section stayed til the end. if i paid money to be a spectator for ANYTHING. i'll stay til the end.

if the rockets are down 40, i'll stay the end, cuz i paid good money.

i got a few things on my mind after watching the game. 1)the crowd sucked ass, watching it on tv looked like there were some empty seats......and our crowd seems to be a sleep half the time........man i dont get it they just sucked ass. 2)the chants of sf3 to come into the game was crazy.......dont get that either. 3) first half looked good........then the second half i started to get worried  4)i could not understand why the rockets didnt realize the brandon roy was coming off the picks and getting open shots........i dont know how many times he did that. 5)3-0 6)the texas two step: we got our hands full, we will see how the rockets perform (knock on wood hopefully 5-0) I hope that the fans at the spurs came would be loud and energetic.

Has the lackluster crowd participation been going on throughout Rockets history???? Are the fans always this pale and dead like the one we witness last night??? We need to turn this arena into soccer hooligans or the right way to call the sport football...

Well there are 22,000 people on this board. Thats enough to fill the TC. :D Then you will have a good crowd.

Well, I was in Dallas and watching the Mavs game on TV (my Rockets on Sopcast). Their stadium was loud as hell but fans started leaving in the early fourth. I don't see anything wrong with it in a blowout. Now, if the game was close and it was against a good team, that wouldn't have happened.

As someone mentioned, the TC was actually more packed during the starting lineups than I've seen it in quite some time. The place was LOUD during the lineup especially when Stevie was announced.

The best part was when Tracy was last, and he was just standing there in the tunnel with his "number 1" finger up. The place was SO loud you couldn't even hear the PA announcing his name. Place was awesome!

People will always leave early from a game. I saw Dominique Sachse leave early. I suppose I should have yelled at her for you. This is not something new. It really makes little sense to complain about it. The game was all but over, and people are going to try and leave before they get stuck in traffic.

Just b/c most of us here on a fan board stay and find ourselves leaving with the power dancers, doesn't mean the other thousands of fans, business clients, students, free-ticket takers, etc. are the same...

I have no idea why fans leave early. I don't even leave early when they getting blown out. I just wanna support the team. I remember seeing some people come in late( like second quarter), then getting something to eat. After the end of the third quarter, they went home. Why do these people even go to the game?????? As far as the Steve chants, why are people so mad? People were showing love for a guy that cherish this city. The dude has a ton of heart. It's not like Adelman was gonna be influenced whatso ever by the fans. All it does is show how much support he has from this city, and hopefully, will make him work even harder and be more patient.

Are the Rowdies allowed to leave early? Is there like a certain rule that they have to stay till the very end?

The Red Rowdies have to say until the VERY END of the game regardless of score.

Ashamed for leaving early when the Rockets had the game won?

Every NBA team and Pro league fans will leave early if the game is basically won or a blowout lost. Rarely happens when a team makes a miracle comeback like the Texans almost did against the Titans, or T-Mac against the Spurs a couple of years ago.

If I was at the game, I would be chanting "We Want Steve" as well. I paid for my ticket. I can chant whatever the hell I want to.

Im not gonna say that the customer is ALWAYS right but their desire to see Steve play should be considered. Adelman and the players have the people in the stands to thank for being millionaires. Why shouldnt they chant?

Wow 3 rookies in a row, 2 with under 50 posts, who don't sound like they have to catch the yellow bus in the morning, or are related to JVG!

I honestly thought it would have been awesome if Steve went in on the home opener. The opener is always one of the best crowds of the year and the place would have gone absolutely nuts. It would have been extremely awesome to see.

I was there chanting we want Steve as loud as I possibly could. I am not ashamed. I am sick of seeing Reefer.

    WE WANT STEVE!

i also noticed the crowd was pretty weak...the buzz was no where near the buzz from the jazz games in the playoffs
