didn't mean to call you out, if anything, it was just I complain about it as much as u, but in the end, all u can do is your own actions. Now, we can only let all other 16,000 plus in the arena to realize it, we'd be in good shape :)

I feel like im preaching like Joel Osteen :p

its good to vent, thats why we have the boards :)

HC advantage certainly seemed weak today, but I can't really blame those in attendance. I was pumped for this opener and eventually started falling asleep! After the first half it was all sloppy basketball and missed shots. Tmac cooled down, Yao was less aggressive, and Portland still couldn't make a decent run.

I'm sorry. I love the rockets, but is my blood supposed to be flowing watching another JVG game?

Totally agree. The Crowd was HORRIBLE tonight.

The people I hate the most are the ones who DONT CHANT DEFENSE and they freaking sit there on their cell phones not giving one **** about the game!

Corporate seats at the bottom = empty seats and fans sitting on their hands. I've had tickets down there several times and i don't feel like i can even cheer without bothering someone.

I was on the last row tonight and I don't think the fans were that bad. I think the early lead kind of took their interest away. The "We Want Steve" thing did bother me a little bit...eventhough I like Steve. I don't think it took away that much. I heard the lady on 610 too and I have to agree with what Adam said... It wasn't like the fans were specifically wanting a particular player off of the floor... they just wanted to see another popular player on the floor.

I'm surprised none of the CF members that were at the game started a "WHAT HAPPENED TO ALMU?!" chant.

That Steve chant was fun to hear on tv...but it's not like the guy did anything in preseason to justify getting onto the court. He does deserve to be on the bench. So while I'm sure done in fun, if that chant, in whatever form continues, seems like it would end up being disrespectful to the guys that are busting their asses out on the court.

Kind of like asking for a curtain call for a player who just struck out.

I wanna see Steve play just like any other fan...but not until he earns it.

If Mike James sucks the next few games because he feels he is under appreciated...

    it's on.

I mean I want SF3 out there as much as the next guy but ... appreciate Mike James for what he's doing, the guy is playing fantastic. show him some love. And Scola...wow just... wow. Love that guys play so much it's ridiculous.

Loud and proud people these guys at least give us something to cheer about. There are harder teams to follow, let's put it that way.

I'm sure fans only started chanting for Steve because it was looking like a blow out. Once the Blazers kept getting closer, the chants quieted down. C'mon it was not that big of a deal. You act like the Rockets were down 1 when the fans started chanting for Steve. To be honest, I haven't heard the TC crowd this alive in a LONG time. They actually sounded loud on the TV.

dunno, I thought the crowd was pretty decent. I mean it was nothing like game 7 against the Jazz last season, but it got pretty loud in there a few times. And there was for sure some buzz going around before the game. There was alot of red out there. I agree the Rowdies could get a little louder during the games, but it was fun giving them high fives going into the arena. Looking forward to Tuesdays game

houston fans suck. i cant deny that. i'll never forget the 2nd out of the 9th inning of game 4 of the world series. everyone got out of the way so that juan uribe could catch that foul ball that was half way into the stands. i'll never forget that

because Steve sucks right now, he's not in the rotation and will not until he's in shape and fits the system.

I disagree with your take on the Stevie Chants. I liked them.

But I fully agree on the losers who left early.

My roommate and his GF walked into the living room and said the Rockets don't get a very good crowd do they. I said it was a sold out game, 18k something people. They said doesn't look like it.

I literally hit rewind on the DVR to show them there was a crowd....don't know why, I just felt sick having them think that's what we have in Houston.

....cause they are Dallas fans.

Actually, no ... the chants started *after* the Trailblazers started to make their run towards the end and what used to be a 22-point lead had been cut down to 8. That's when the "we want Steve" chants started. That was what was so wrong about it ... I would want Steve in too if we were up by like 18 points with 5 minutes to go, but that wasn't the case here. I started hearing the chants, took a look to my right and just thought "you've got to be kidding me, are there really that many clueless human beings in this building? This has to be the worst possible point in the game to be asking for a Steve Francis cameo!" And you'd wish they were actually loud when they were supposed to be cheering the Rockets -- to be fair, the game did kinda get a bit boring after the first quarter, but still -- if this is the best Houston fans can do, that's just sad. I understand fans can be sentimental and some of them paid money to come see Steve Francis, but frankly, I don't give a crap about those fans. As long as we're winning games, the real fans will eventually show up and cheer the real Rockets team.

The chants got louder and louder even as the Trailblazers scored another bucket, and then subsided temporarily after Mike James drained a 3 pointer. Gotta love that guy -- completely unfazed, utterly fearless.
