I didn't find this one funny. It could bring about bad karma. I thought the year it was changed to a Spurs site was pretty funny.

Me too remeber last years Stev Francis's Post that he wanted to play power foward and that he wanted rudy out as coach or he would request a trade. I think this is BS about Yao cause He kept playing 4 a while afterward until we got blown out. Now I have broken my collarbone before twice in the same spot, and believe me you will not even play for another minute, much less can even lift your arm up to hold your neck. So April fools ya'll

    Playoffs here we come!!

Man, this year's joke was pretty good, especially since the Yahoo page was a stroke of genius.

The Spurs site still remains the only one that had me going though.

The newbie reactions are hilarious. :D

The best one imo was Rudy taking the head coaching job at Michigan. I fell for it cause Rudy was on the search committee.

Perhaps he had planned on the Yao injury being the joke all along, and the elbow last night just made it easier on him.

hmm....trying to decide. Clutchcity.net prank? I remember the past ones.

If it's a prank then I feel like an a$$ since i spread the word the instant I saw the front page on cc.net

Man, that sucks. I forgot it is April....if it is a fools joke.

Clutch, you better get an attorney!

After checking in to CC.net, five of my friends immediately collapsed upon seeing the news of Yao. The paramedics was not able to save any one of them. The reason for their death was later disclose as Ming-titis.

This being my first April fool on CC.net, I must admit you got me real good.

I went through the whole DEPRESSION cycle in 5 minutes.

Was mutombo in on it or was it just a coincidence that he elbowed yao near the collar bone to make it even more believable?

Damn CLutch...i went to the main sites around to see if this was true. nothing on NBA.com HoustonChronicle...no where. Damn, you really did get me. I forgot this was APrl 1!!

CLUTCH!...lol. I remember last years too. Man. I really fell for it this year!

Good job! I had to run around telling people it was false, or that i believe it was an APril FOols joke. Even one of my teachers, at TCU!!!!

I sure felt like an a$$..that is for sure.

this one didn't get me b/c it was exactly what i would have done for the joke too. so many new members who don't know about the tradition and so many who focus on yao, it was the perfect joke. however, a stroke of genius using the mutombo elbow as the cover. i would have never thought of doing that.

the only other one i was here for was the francis one and that was great (though i knew it was april 1 so i was just laughing along). kobe for hakeem, rudy leaving, there must have been some epic responses for those. i can't imagine if i had seen those and not known. when it got changed to a spurs site, was there just like a huge depression on the board for a while? you know you run a good site when people are coming out of the woodwork just for you're april fool's joke.

the spurs thing was my favorite. that was back in the days when you didn't have to sign up to view the board. well, i was had last year(with the francis thing), but this year i was looking forward to it because i KNEW how many new people are here and i KNEW it was gonna be something about yao. i thought it would be 'china disagrees on war, orders yao to come back' or something. i was close :D

last year i fell for it. this year i was looking forward to it. best tradition on this site.

The only one that's ever got me was the Spurs site joke. That had me going.

I tried guessing what it would be as the page loaded. Apr. 1 is circled with a big, thick red line on my calender - didn't fall for it a bit!! Sorry, Clutch!

    :D :)

    I love April Fool's Day.
